Alright, let's talk about the Gatekeeper in the Shivering Isles. This big fella is basically the bouncer for Sheogorath's Realm of Madness, and trust me, it's not an easy job. It's made from the bodies of those who tried to get in and failed, and it's got the Keys to Mania and Dementia literally sewn into its hide. Think of it as a super-sized, scarier Flesh Atronach. When you first arrive in the Shivering Isles, you'll see some adventurers trying to take it on. Don't get too attached; they don't make it. Their leader might run, but you're up against a tough opponent. You *can* beat the Gatekeeper with the adventurers the first time, but it's a real challenge unless you have Relmyna's Tears or some bone arrows from Jayred Ice-Veins. Those bone arrows are made from an old Gatekeeper's bones, so that's a neat bit of lore. Later on, after you've finished 'Retaking the Fringe,' you'll get to help Relmyna Verenim rebuild the Gatekeeper. This is a pretty cool quest called 'Rebuilding the Gatekeeper.' She'll send you to the Gardens of Flesh and Bone to gather four ingredients. Once you have them, she'll do her magic and build a new Gatekeeper. The best part? You get to help decide what kind of Gatekeeper it will be by choosing its body parts, which also affects its strengths and the 'Gatekeeper's Gift' you can pick. After that, you'll head to the Fringe with Relmyna to see the new Gatekeeper in action. It'll immediately have to fight off some Knights of Order led by Felas Sarandas.
