When fighting the gigantic mech piloted by General Ross, use Critical Mass abilities like Critical Pain to halve its life bar, or Critical Thunderclap to destroy nearby tanks.

Target the mech's shoulder weapons to remove Ross's missile launcher and laser.

Continue to attack aggressively to defeat the mech.

After the mech is destroyed, General Ross orders his troops to stand down.

Samson activates a failsafe, putting the Hulk into a deep coma.

Save your game.

Chapter 5: Inner Sanctum begins, featuring two missions without a break for free roam (the open-world mode where you move and play without an active mission).

You can save and buy new moves from the post-mission save screen before each mission.

Consider purchasing Critical Mass Surge Level 2 for increased health and attack power.

The new attack move Air Cannonball is available but expensive; Tornado Frenzy and Drop Kick are recommended alternatives.

Save your game and continue to Mission 1.

Mission 5, Mission 1: Without Parole starts with Banner locked in the Vault, facing scientists and Blonsky.

Banner is subjected to painful electric shocks to prevent transformation.

Samson observes and reminds General Ross of his promise to treat Banner fairly, but Ross states he has no choice.

Inside Banner's mind, Devil Hulk grows stronger.

Banner transforms into the Hulk and breaks free.

Ignore Blonsky for now and defeat the four Division Soldiers firing machine guns.

Knock out the unarmed scientists and collect the green orbs they drop to recover health.

Smash down the large door Blonsky escaped through.

Be mindful of the downed door, forklifts, fuel and biohazard barrels, and concrete pieces in the next room, using them as projectiles if necessary.

Engage and defeat the Capture Warden, a new type of Hulkbuster that attacks with its fists.

Counter its damaging combos with quick movement and counter-blows.

Break down the next two doors to face another Capture Warden and several Soldiers.

Smash the blue crates to clear them from your path.

Defeat these enemies and smash down the next door.

In the muster area, defeat three Capture Wardens.

Collect all available green orbs before entering this area.

You can retreat to your cell if needed, but the Capture Wardens will pursue you.

Use projectiles like large barrels to wear down the enemies.

Pummel each Capture Warden in turn.

In the room, smash generators and inactive Hulkbusters.

Break through the next door into a wide open area where Blonsky is escaping via elevator.

The mission boss, a giant Capture Warden, will descend to fight you.

This boss has two life bars and uses deadly grab and combo attacks, as well as missiles and a ram attack.

Jump to the side to avoid the ram attack.

Weave around the room and use Air Combos on the boss whenever possible.

Mash your normal attack button frantically and counter its grabs to avoid its damaging combos.

Two normal-sized Capture Wardens will join the fight when the giant Capture Warden is at half health.

Concentrate on the boss as much as possible before dealing with the smaller Capture Wardens, as the boss becomes less aggressive.
