Walkthrough
  1. 1
Equip your Pegasus Boots. Pull the lever, then immediately after hearing the bleeping sound, go left a tiny bit, turn up, and start to dash. The bridge will appear once you begin dashing, regardless of whether it was visible before.
  2. 2
Go up and right. Defeat the 3 Floor Masters in this room.
  3. 3
The reward is a portal. Do not use it; instead, head right.
  4. 4
In the next room, go to the bottom. Hop into a hole and wait for the spike logs to pass. Jump out and proceed right and up.
  5. 5
Push the left statue to the upper left switch and the right statue to the lower right switch.
  6. 6
Go up and kill the Ropes.
  7. 7
Clone yourself on the lower left and upper right tiles. Position yourself on the remaining switches so that your clone does not touch the stones or statues.
  8. 8
Grab the Small Key that falls. Use it on the bottom left door.
  9. 9
Go back to the portal and shrink. Run through the room where you obtained the key and go left.
  10. 10
Enter the Minish hole and grow. Hit the switch. The key will drop into the hole next to the top right one.
  11. 11
Dig a backwards L shape from the bottom and right sides to avoid Sparks, then retrieve the key.
  12. 12
Shrink again and exit. Hop off the ledge and grow.
  13. 13
Head right, down, and through the door.
  14. 14
In this room, dig into each Moldorm part and kill them. Collect any items from the pots; the right one contains a Big Rupee (100 rupees), and the bottom left holds Shells.
  15. 15
    Climb the ladder.
  16. 16
Go up. Kill the Stalfos and flying skulls.
  17. 17
Open the door and go through. Drop down the right hole.
  18. 18
Open the chest to obtain the Big Key. Push the stone and jump off.
  19. 19
Return to the room where you could choose between the left and right paths. Exit via the south door.
  20. 20
Climb the ladder, save your game, and open the big door.
  21. 21
Kill the Sparks with the Boomerang and refill with the skulls. Go up.
  22. 22
    BOSS: MAZAAL
  23. 23
Avoid Mazaal's slamming hands. Shoot the eye in one of its hands to make it fall. Slash the eye until the hand shorts out. Repeat for the other hand, which will cause Mazaal's head to fall.
  24. 24
Shrink using either portal and enter the mouth of the head.
  25. 25
Inside, run up and attack the glowing pillar until it explodes. A crane will carry you out.
  26. 26
Grow back and repeat the process. Watch out for Mazaal's hands trying to grab you, and the rare laser attack that shrinks you.
  27. 27
When Mazaal smashes a hand, mini-spiders will fall; slash them.
  28. 28
The second time you enter the head, you must dig to reach the pillar.
  29. 29
After the third pillar is destroyed, Mazaal will fall.
  30. 30
After defeating Mazaal, you will receive a Heart Container.
  31. 31
Go up into the next room and approach the tablet. Read it to learn about the Tribe of Wind and the Wind Element.
  32. 32
A bird will drop an Ocarina on the ground. Pick it up to obtain the Ocarina of Wind.
  33. 33
Outside, play the Ocarina of Wind. This allows you to fly to locations where you previously found a Wind Crest.
  34. 34
    Fly to Lake Hylia.
  35. 35
Shrink and enter the mushroom house. Fuse with the Forest Minish to open a path in Western Wood.
  36. 36
Fly to Western Wood and enter the newly opened tree to find a Piece of Heart.
  37. 37
Return to Lake Hylia, enter the mushroom house again, and talk to the Minish twice.
  38. 38
Leave the house and jump off to the left.
  39. 39
Bring out the Ocarina of Wind and fly back to Hyrule Town.

  • The laser attack from Mazaal can shrink you.
  • The mini-spiders that fall after Mazaal smashes a hand can be easily defeated by slashing them.
  • Big Key
  • Ocarina of Wind
  • Heart Container
  • Piece of Heart (found in Western Wood)
