Navigate Floor 2's outside areas in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap! Learn how to solve block puzzles, defeat Spiked Beetles, and use the Cane of Pacci.
Alright, you've made it to the outside of Floor 2! First things first, there's a crow that'll fly at you right away. Take it out instantly! Then, you'll need to glide to the right. You'll see another crow; take care of that one too. Now, we've got a puzzle on our hands, and to make it easier, let's look at this map:
Map Key:
- = Wall
- B = Block
- T = Clone Tile
The top of the map is an edge, and the bottom three rows are where pillars can pop up to block your path.
Here's how to solve it:
- First, push Block B3 down.
- Next, push Block B2 up, and then push Block B1 up as well.
- Now, push Block B4 to the right.
- It's time to clone! Use the Clone Tiles T4, T5, and T6.
- Head through the bottom spaces.
- You'll find four buttons at the bottom. Position yourself in the spaces between them – there should only be three spaces total. From there, swing left to hit those switches, and then quickly turn right to hit the last one.
- Finally, cancel out your clones.
With the puzzle solved, you'll have to face two Spiked Beetles. You can either defeat them the usual way by flipping them over and attacking, or if you're feeling brave, you can push them off the edge using your shield. Once they're dealt with, exit to the right.
Now, make your way to the top of this area, being careful not to get blown off by the wind. You'll need to jump to the right and then head down. As soon as the bottom vents stop blowing, run out and to the left. Then, jump and glide into the hole you see. Wait for the vents to stop again, jump out, and quickly use the Cane of Pacci to charge the hole. Flip left.
Up here, exit through the grating on the left. You'll land on a panel; jump on it to flip it. Head left and take down the red Rupee Like Like. Jump up to the next grating. Go left again. When the moving platform is directly underneath the panel you're aiming for, jump onto it. Do the same thing to get onto the next grating. Head upwards from there. Just follow the cloud trail that's going up, and you'll be on your way!
