Alright, let's talk about something you'll see a bunch of in The Rogue Prince of Persia: Quick Time Events, or QTEs. Think of them as little cinematic moments that pop up, usually during boss fights, to shake things up. They're not part of the regular combat flow, but they're super important to get right.

Basically, a QTE means you'll have to hit specific button prompts that appear on screen. For example, remember how you beat The Warrior? You pushed him to the edge, and then a QTE kicked in. Instead of fighting normally, The Warrior tried to stomp on the Prince, but Elika stepped in. A prompt popped up telling you to mash the Square button. Nail that, and you win the QTE and the fight!

You'll run into QTEs pretty early on. Against The Hunter, for instance, you might push him against a wall, triggering a QTE. Not all of them involve mashing Square, though. Later on, especially against the Corrupted enemies, they might introduce some tricky moves. If you don't hit the correct button prompt when these pop up, you'll take damage. It's still a bit unclear if these prompts are always the same for a specific QTE, or if they change up randomly.

Finishers are a different beast. When a boss or a tough enemy has you weakened and lands a big hit, a finisher QTE can start. This is where you have to hit a random button prompt to save yourself. If you mess up or don't react fast enough, Elika will step in and save you. But here's the catch: Elika saving you means the enemy gets some of their health back. So, try your best to nail those finisher QTEs to keep the advantage!
