Walkthrough
- 1Choose one of the two house locations: Willow Creek or Oasis Springs. You can switch between them at any time.
- 2Select a starter house. For new players, it is suggested to choose the furnished starter house to get everything you need to begin. You can choose to have the house furnished or not; furnishing it yourself will save money.
- 3Learn how to move your Sims using the mouse: scroll wheel to zoom in and out, right mouse button to change the camera angle without moving it, and left mouse button to move the camera to another location. An alternate camera setting is available in the options menu.
Basic Gameplay Settings:
- Wall Controls: Click the walls icon in the upper right corner to disable walls for an easier view of the floor plan, or enable them to see the outside better.
- Focus the Camera: Click your Sim's icon in the lower left corner (the smaller head icon) to center the camera on them. Right-click this icon to automatically follow that Sim.
- Time Controls: Located in the bottom center of the screen, you can pause time, or play at normal, 2X, or 3X speed. This is useful when your Sims are sleeping, at work, or if you need to pause to plan your next move.
- Action Queue: Found in the lower left corner of the screen. You can set multiple actions for your Sim to perform in order. Click any queued item to cancel it. Items within the white rectangle are currently happening, while those above it are waiting to be done.
