Learn how to effectively use the Command Map in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. Master waypoint placement, team orders, and ROE settings for tactical advantage.

The Command Map in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands allows you to issue orders to your teams. You can navigate the map using the D-pad. Holding the D-pad will continuously scroll the cursor across the map until it reaches the edge, enabling you to mark waypoints for your soldiers to move to.

A white cursor indicates you can place a waypoint, while a red cursor signifies an area where waypoints cannot be placed. Waypoints are specific points on the map that you want a team to reach. You can string multiple waypoints together to create a path for a team. To place a waypoint, press the A button. A path will then appear from the currently selected team to the waypoint. The active team is displayed at the top of the Command Map and can be changed in Team Orders mode. To delete the last placed waypoint, press the B button.

For more precise waypoint placement, you can zoom in on the map by clicking the right thumbstick, similar to zooming in with a weapon. Click the right thumbstick again to zoom back out.

To direct a soldier to face a specific direction upon reaching a waypoint, hold down the A button while placing the waypoint. A fire arc will appear, which you can adjust using the D-pad. Releasing the A button sets the fire arc. When a team arrives at the waypoint, they will adopt this facing direction.

Information about your platoon is displayed around the Command Map. "A" Team member information is on the left side, and "B" Team information is on the right. At the top, an icon shows the current Movement ROE (Rules of Engagement) for the team. Below that is the health/stance indicator in the Action Interface. At the bottom, an icon indicates the current Combat ROE for that fireteam. Details on Combat and Movement ROEs can be found in the Team Orders section.
