Alright, welcome to Tony Hawk's Underground! I'm here to walk you through the game, just like we're hanging out and playing it together. This guide is gonna cover the Normal-difficulty Story Mode, plus all the cool extras like cutscenes, secret levels, characters, and even the 2 Player mode.

Tony Hawk's Underground, or THUG as we call it, really shook things up from the older games like THPS4. The biggest new thing? You can hop off your board! This opens up so many new areas and ways to play. Plus, you can cruise around in cars and, yeah, you'll definitely be annoying the cops while you go from being a nobody skater to a total pro. They've also packed the game with tons of stuff to unlock and a bunch of new and returning pro skaters to meet.

Meet the Crew:

First off, there's YOU – a custom skater, guy or girl, who grew up shredding in Jersey. The whole story is about your journey from a street punk to a skateboarding superstar.

Then there's Eric Sparrow, your buddy who gets you into some trouble with some shady characters on Elm Street. He'll be with you from New Jersey all the way to Florida. Just remember, you might wonder why he sticks around... maybe it's not just loyalty!

Stacy Peralta, who runs the local skate shop, is your ticket to getting sponsored and joining Team Peralta. But she's not just gonna hand it to you; you'll have to earn it.

You'll also run into Todd, the manager for whichever AM team you join. He's got a serious appetite, that one.

In Russia, you'll meet Kalo, a local gangster type who helps you out when you first arrive and then again when you need to get home.

Watch out for Ralphie, a Pro skater on Todd's team. He's got a distinctive scar or tattoo on his face and a knack for finding trouble with the law, often getting nabbed by security guards.

Jordan and Bender are also Pro skaters on Todd's team. Jordan pops up a lot in cutscenes, helping move the story along, while Bender seems a bit insecure about his masculinity.

Jonny Turbo leads the Street Warriors, a crew of drag racers in Jersey. He's usually around to lend a hand if you're in a tight spot.

And if you're aiming for Team Peralta, you'll have to impress Shawn, Joey, and Chris – they're all skaters on Stacy's team who will test your skills.

Finally, there's Ollie the Bum. Nobody knows much about this mysterious homeless guy. He shows up all over the place, from California to Hawaii, and even back home in Jersey and Manhattan. Some say he can float, and his only known fear is the Pink Elephant Brigade.
