Platinum Trophy: True Slayer

Obtain all other trophies. Congratulations, Slayer! This will require dedication across all aspects of the game: story progression, side quests, material gathering, equipment crafting, and mastering every weapon style.

Story Progression Trophies

These trophies are unlocked simply by playing through the main story. You cannot miss them, so focus on enjoying the narrative and honing your combat skills.

The Beginning of the End

• Description: Complete the Prologue.
• Walkthrough: This trophy unlocks automatically after you complete the initial tutorial missions and the first major battle in Mahoroba Village, introducing you to the core mechanics and the time-displaced protagonist.

A New Home

• Description: Reach Mahoroba Village.
• Walkthrough: Awarded upon your first arrival at the central hub of Mahoroba Village after the events of the Prologue.

Echoes of the Past

• Description: Complete Chapter 2.
• Walkthrough: Continue following the main story quests. This trophy will pop after you complete the key missions in the Age of Grace, culminating in a significant encounter.

Unraveling the Mystery

• Description: Complete Chapter 4.
• Walkthrough: Progress through the main storyline, delving deeper into the mysteries surrounding the Awoken and the Oni. This trophy is earned after a pivotal battle in the Age of War.

The Truth Revealed

• Description: Complete the Main Story.
• Walkthrough: Finish all main story chapters and witness the game's conclusion. This will involve numerous challenging Oni encounters and exploring various Ages.

Combat & Slayer Skill Trophies

These trophies focus on your prowess in battle and your mastery of the various weapon types and combat mechanics.

First Victory

• Description: Defeat your first Large Oni.
• Walkthrough: This will likely be one of the earliest trophies you earn. The first Large Oni you encounter during the Prologue or early Chapter 1 will trigger this. Focus on targeting weak points and using your Demon Hand effectively.

One Thousand Oni

• Description: Defeat 1,000 Small Oni.
• Walkthrough: This trophy is a grind, but it will come naturally as you play through the game. Small Oni are ubiquitous in every Age. Prioritize clearing areas of Small Oni during patrol missions or when farming materials.

Hundred-Hand Slayer

• Description: Sever 100 Oni body parts using the Demon Hand.
• Walkthrough: The Demon Hand is crucial for severing body parts. Focus on charging your Demon Hand and aiming for specific parts (arms, legs, horns, tails) of Large Oni. Even if the part is not glowing red, a fully charged Demon Hand attack can often sever it. Repeatedly target the same parts across multiple hunts.

Master of the Blade

• Description: Achieve max proficiency with a single weapon type.
• Walkthrough: To maximize proficiency, you need to use a weapon type extensively. Equip your chosen weapon (e.g., Sword, Spear, Bow) and use it for every mission, both story and side quests. Proficiency increases with every hit and every Oni defeated. You can check your current proficiency level in the Slayer's Hub.

Weapon Specialist

• Description: Achieve max proficiency with all 11 weapon types.
• Walkthrough: This is a significant undertaking. You will need to rotate through all weapon types: Sword, Spear, Bow, Gauntlets, Chain & Sickle, Dual Knives, Club, Rifle, Naginata, Shield Sword, and Whip. The fastest way to level proficiency is to tackle low-level patrol missions or repeat easy Large Oni hunts. Consider crafting a basic version of each weapon type early on to start gaining proficiency.

United We Stand

• Description: Perform 50 Union Scrambles.
• Walkthrough: A Union Scramble occurs when you and an AI companion simultaneously use your Demon Hand on the same Oni body part. This is easiest to achieve against larger, slower Oni. Coordinate with your AI companions by targeting the same glowing red body part. You can also try to initiate it when an Oni is stunned or toppled.

Exploration & Collection Trophies

These trophies reward your thoroughness in exploring the vast world of Toukiden 2 and collecting its various treasures.

First Steps into the Otherworld

• Description: Discover your first Age.
• Walkthrough: This will unlock automatically as you progress through the story and gain access to new Ages like the Age of Grace or Age of War.

Explorer Extraordinaire

• Description: Discover all Ages.
• Walkthrough: Continue the main story to unlock all the different Ages. This includes the Age of Grace, Age of War, Age of Chaos, Age of Yore, Age of Honor, and the Age of Peace. Ensure you've visited each area within these Ages.

Mitama Collector

• Description: Obtain 50 Mitama.
• Walkthrough: Mitama are dropped by Large Oni upon defeat, found in glowing blue wisps in the open world, or rewarded from certain quests. Focus on defeating several Large Oni and thoroughly exploring each Age to find hidden Mitama. Many Mitama are tied to specific Oni or locations.

Mitama Master

• Description: Obtain all Mitama.
• Walkthrough: This is one of the most time-consuming trophies. You will need to defeat every type of Large Oni multiple times on various difficulties to acquire all their associated Mitama. Additionally, meticulously search every corner of every Age for the hidden Mitama wisps. Some Mitama are also rewards for completing specific side quests or fulfilling certain conditions in the Slayer's Hub. Consult a detailed Mitama location guide if you get stuck.

Material Hoarder

• Description: Collect 1,000 materials.
• Walkthrough: Materials are dropped by Small Oni, Large Oni, and gathered from glowing collection points in the environment. This trophy will come naturally as you play through the game, craft equipment, and complete quests. Always pick up materials you see.

Crafting & Upgrade Trophies

These trophies are tied to your efforts in the Blacksmith and Shrine Maiden facilities in Mahoroba Village.

First Forged

• Description: Forge your first piece of equipment.
• Walkthrough: Visit the Blacksmith in Mahoroba Village. After gathering some basic materials (e.g., Iron Ore from the Age of Grace), select "Forge Equipment" and create any weapon or armor piece.

Master Craftsman

• Description: Forge 100 pieces of equipment.
• Walkthrough: This requires significant material farming. Focus on forging low-cost weapons and armor repeatedly. You don't need to keep them; you can sell them afterward. Prioritize crafting the cheapest possible items like basic swords or gauntlets using common materials like Iron Ore, Wood, and Small Oni Claws.

Ultimate Weapon

• Description: Upgrade a weapon to its maximum level.
• Walkthrough: At the Blacksmith, select "Upgrade Equipment." Choose a weapon and upgrade it using materials and Haku until it reaches its highest possible level (often +9 or +10, depending on the weapon's rarity). This will require rarer materials from later-game Oni.

Ultimate Armor

• Description: Upgrade a piece of armor to its maximum level.
• Walkthrough: Similar to the Ultimate Weapon trophy, select an armor piece at the Blacksmith and upgrade it to its maximum level. This will also require specific materials and a good amount of Haku.

Miscellaneous Trophies

First Request

• Description: Complete your first side quest.
• Walkthrough: Talk to NPCs with a scroll icon above their heads in Mahoroba Village or the open world. Accept and complete any side quest. The early quests from NPCs like Homura or the various villagers are good starting points.

Quest Master

• Description: Complete 100 side quests.
• Walkthrough: There are numerous side quests available throughout the game. regularly check with all NPCs in Mahoroba Village and any Slayers you encounter in the open world. Many quests are simple fetch quests or require defeating a specific number of Small Oni.

A Friend in Need

• Description: Recruit your first companion.
• Walkthrough: As you progress through the story, various NPCs will join your ranks as potential companions for missions. This trophy will unlock when the first character becomes available to accompany you.

Allies United

• Description: Recruit all available companions.
• Walkthrough: This trophy is tied to story progression and completing specific companion-related side quests. Ensure you complete all character-specific side quests as they become available, as some companions are only fully recruited after these are finished.

The World's Savior

• Description: Achieve a 100% completion rate.
• Walkthrough: This is the ultimate challenge. It requires completing all main story missions, all side quests, obtaining all Mitama, discovering all Ages and their sub-areas, forging all unique equipment (not just 100 pieces), and maxing out proficiency with all weapon types. This will be the last trophy you earn before the Platinum. Keep a detailed checklist of everything you've done!
