Congratulations! You've escaped the prison! But you're not out of the woods yet; or, I should say, you are now officially on the run in the woods. There is even a chopper searching for you! From the start, run straight ahead and rock climb up the wall. You will have to do this one at a time, and I recommend simply waiting for the other player here so that one does not get too far ahead of the other.

Up the wall, climb up some more walls until you reach a tall smooth rock wall that you cannot simply rock climb up. For this, a cutscene plays, and if you've played the developer's previous game, _Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons_, you will remember that the brothers in that game got over obstacles in the exact same way.

Up the wall, you will now be in an area with bushes and troopers on the ground with flashlights. These troopers are clearly marked with yellow arrows, and they cannot see you at all in the bushes. So, you can safely use the bushes as cover as you make your way past the troopers. Since the troopers are patrolling and have predictable movement, you should wait until their backs are turned before going from bush to bush. Do note that you are safe while in the bushes.

The strategy for this section is fairly simple: avoid the troopers and make your way past them by hiding in the bushes and timing your movement. You can also take down the troopers if they are close to you while you are in the bushes, and I recommend this so that there are less troopers looking for you. It can be particularly helpful if troopers behind you are catching you.

Soon, you will reach two troopers down a slope looking away from you. Here, you need to time your takedown with your partner so you subdue them around the same time. It does not have to be perfect, but you need to give your partner a small window so he can grab his man. However, you still need to take the troopers down around the same time.

After the simultaneously take down, you will be near a river now. As you stealth down to it, you will hear a bunch of police talking about their plans for catching you. Go to the right, then head down the slope, and back over to the left toward where the troopers where at. Here, there is another simultaneous take down, but this time, one of you needs to be on the other side of the huge rock behind the troopers. Just as before, time your take down so you both grab onto the enemy at the same time.

Once they're both down, head up to the bridge. Here, again you will have the cutscene of one character hoisting the other up, and then you will both be behind a dumpster next to the bridge. At this point, you have your first big choice of the game. You can either choose Leo's Way, which is to go over the bridge, or you can choose Vincent's Way, which is to go under the bridge. What you choose only determines the immediate gameplay after the decision. For over the bridge, you simply take down the officer next to the police car and then high tail it out of there in said police car. One important caveat here is that both players must agree to one way, and you cannot each "choose" a different way.

Leo's Way (Over the Bridge)

For Leo's way, which is over the bridge, stealth to the police officer, then with either character, take him down like you did all of the enemies in the forest. This is fairly simple and direct, and it is easy to take the officer down. Both characters now enter the car, with one driving with a police hat and the other hiding in the backseat. The driving character has more duties here as he or she must drive past the police and off the road down the slope. Whichever way you choose, you crash the police car and are then chased by police dogs.

Vincent's Way (Under the Bridge)

For Vincent's way, go down the ladder to the right, then follow the catwalk and sidle across to the catwalk under the bridge. Jump across the gap, then balance on the pipes as you sidle across to the platform on the opposite side. Here, you will see the helicopter, so be sure to take cover behind the rail as the helicopter strobes its spotlight past you. If you go down the platform in the center, it will fall and you will need to have one character help the other back up. Otherwise, you should hoist up a character near the controls so they can do monkey bars on the orange ladder on the ceiling and get across.

Now, go over and open the door, then have the character on the other side jump over while the other grabs him to get him on the platform. Continue following the platforms. It will lead outside and you'll need to sidle across. Back inside, get on the pipe, and help each other get past it. At the end, you'll need to break a lock on a white door. To do this, grab the emergency ax in the red storage container down the walkway, then break open the lock with the ax. Outside and on the other side of the bridge, hoist each other up to the top of the bridge, then take out the policeman in the yellow rain coat. As you are doing this, you will be held up by another policeman. With the other character, sidle across below, then sneak up behind the policeman and knock him out.

Chase Sequence

Both ways end in a chase sequence which is very similar to the one right after you broke out of the prison. You need to run straight ahead while hopping over fallen trees and jumping over chasms. Although each character has slightly different terrain, it is the same gameplay of running and jumping over things. One of you will go too slowly and one of the dogs will bite you and drag you to the ground, which will trigger a QTE in which you must mash the prompted button to get the dog off of you.

At the end of the chase sequence, there is a slope that both characters must slide down and then, at the bottom, jump across the river. When the second character jumps across, the first will assist him by holding out his hand. For this part, both characters need to hold the appropriate button so the character on the other side can grab the character who is jumping over the river.
