Age of Mythology Part 12 walkthrough covering The Jackal's Stronghold, A Long Way From Home, and Watch That First Step. Recover Osiris Pieces.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate a transport with villagers and drop one off at the island. Build a temple on the northwest corner and place all artifacts there.
- 2Load everyone back onto transports and head to the mainland, dealing with offensive ship attacks while protecting your transports.
- 3Establish a base on the mainland, wall it in, and place a fortress to the north. Take over the settlement to the north.
- 4Create many villagers to harvest resources and build an army of chimera and mixed human units. Garrison nearby relics inside temples.
- 5Warning: Build your first few buildings as far away from your Town Center as possible to protect them from the Earthquake god power.
- 6Upgrade hoplites to Champion and build armouries for full upgrades. Create upgraded Siege Towers and use them between enemy waves.
- 7Use your god powers, remembering you need allied unit line of sight to use Earthquake. Hoplites are best against enemy cavalry.
- 8Push back the enemy slowly using heroes like Gargarensis and Kamos, and nearby resources.
The Jackal's Stronghold
Amanra must recover the second Osiris Piece from Kemsyt.
- Move your troops toward the allied town, destroying enemies and picking up artifacts.
- Assign all villagers to farm and create new ones upon arrival. Explore between attacks using your camelry.
- Use Amanra to take control of the green temple and bring artifacts there.
- Place Town Centers on nearby settlements and expand your economy to 50-70 villagers while fending off bandits attacking from the middle of the map.
- Build Migdol Strongholds, Towers, and docks in the middle of the map.
- Create markets and form trade routes to ensure a strong gold supply.
- Build a lighthouse near the island's tip if time permits.
- Take a transport to the northeast to find 4 additional artifacts.
- Build a strong navy and push to the other island. Send 5+ villagers and a landing crew (heavy elephants or Son of Osiris) in transports.
- On the new island, create Migdol Strongholds, then elephants, and push up the island, creating more strongholds.
- Once the enemy is cleared, bring in Amanra to achieve victory.
A Long Way From Home
Chiron and allies must recover the third Osiris Piece from a great tamarisk tree.
- Bring everyone east to follow the scout and gain a town.
- Locate tombs (temples) in the desert; one southeast near a mountain, another in the far west. Each provides gold.
- After destroying the western temple, head south to find two artifacts.
- Wall in to stop enemies. Locate the river crossing they use and wall in front of it.
- In the southwest corner, mine a gold pile and an artifact using an ox-cart and villagers. Create a market there for extra revenue.
- Raid frequently, sometimes with siege. Counter with mass upgraded axe and spearmen, myth units, and priests to heal.
- Slowly advance on the enemy, destroying everything. Create Siege Towers to deal with enemy Towers and wall their temples.
- Secure a foothold and Town Center on the settlement near the Tamarisk Tree.
- Create villagers from this point to chop away at the tree.
- Guard this location closely to finish off the tree and win the scenario.
Watch That First Step
Arkantos and Ajax must recover the final Osiris Piece in a surprise attack on the pirate stronghold of Kamos.
