- 1Union: Start by attacking nearby trolls and following Green troops to gain access to their Town Center and Longhouse. Your Norse troops will not be able to build houses, forcing a focus on strategy. Assign heroes to one group and Valkyries to another, using Valkyries primarily for healing and chasing down single units. Create more gatherers and ensure all villagers are busy. Build additional Hersir and advance to the Heroic Age while fending off Troll attacks, potentially building Towers near the mine entrance. Once at population limit, destroy the Underworld Passage to gain the Green camp and more population space. Free the dwarves and ox cart to begin mining gold. Build two Hill Forts at Green's base and proceed through the mines. Cross the river to the Aqua camp and build five Towers over the flags they provide. Before this, build two Longhouses and one Hill Fort at this location for reinforcements. Research technologies at the Blacksmith. Build Towers, starting with the two at the top and working down. Create more Hersir and Portable Rams. Advance south, destroying enemy Towers, Hill Fort, and Temple. Cross into Purple's land and save his daughter trapped in a Tower. Use Healing Spring near the gate for troop healing. Build a Hill Fort to create more Portable Rams to destroy the enemy Town Center and Hill Forts. If your first base is attacked, defend it with built Hill Forts. Break down the final gate and destroy the Tower to win.
- 2The Wall of Urd: Use the god power Great Hunt near the herd of animals. Assign most gatherers to hunt, with a few starting on wood. Create an ox-cart and dwarves for gold mining. Instead of new farms, create an ox-cart and gatherers for nearby northern farms. You can either defend against periodic attacks or wall off passes. Focus on advancing to the Heroic Age and taking down an enemy Town Center and buildings to the west. Build a new Town Center over this settlement and wall it off. Build Hill Forts behind your walls and push forward, countering enemy infantry and cavalry with Throwing Axemen and Huskarls. Advance to the Mythic Age. Choosing Baldr or Tyr as your minor god is flexible, but be aware that Baldr's Ragnarok god power will turn gatherers and dwarves into Ulfsarks, hampering your economy. Create a temple and add Fire Giants or Wolf Brood, as myth units are effective against the human and myth units you'll face. Collect all three relics: one in the west corner near the first enemy settlement, a second on a hill north of the first enemy wall, and a third in the east within trees.

- In 'Union', do not retreat until the clan leader moves. Target the clan leader with all long-ranged units and heroes. Once he dies, his troops are yours.
