Guide yourself through the Entrance Hall of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Uncover clues, find items, and prepare for the Refinery.

Alright, let's get started in the Entrance Hall. Head up those stairs and keep moving straight towards the center of the room. You'll find a circle on the ground there – step on it, and a flashback will kick in. Keep an eye out, though! To the right of the circle, you'll see some red liquid trickling down another set of stairs. Follow that trail as the flashback continues and then open the door.

That flashback tells us this is the way to the Refinery. Right now, though, a strange red organic goo is blocking the path. Get close to it, and you'll get a new entry in your journal. Open it up and read the Memento – that'll give you your next objective.

So, we need something to get rid of that red gunk. Time to do a bit more exploring. Head back out of the room, go up the stairs, and take a right. Keep moving forward, and you'll find another set of stairs. Head up those. As you're climbing, you might hear a girl panicking. Don't worry about it for now; it's likely just your mind playing tricks on you.

Once you reach the top of these stairs, turn right and move forward. You'll spot a red door leading to the Archives. But wait! Before we go in there, notice that flight of stairs going down to your right, just before the Archives door? Head down those stairs. You should find a tinderbox on the way down. Grab it, then head back up. Now, we're ready to enter the Archives.
