Alright, you've made it to the postgame in Beast of Reincarnation, and Roxy's finally ready to join your main party! Don't worry if she and the others seem a bit underleveled; this last dungeon, the Forbidden Grotto, is mostly about completing a few specific quests before the final showdown.

The Forbidden Grotto is structured with three main interconnected floors, plus a final boss floor. It might look confusing, but it's pretty straightforward and linear – you won't have too many branching paths to worry about.

Quest 75: Explore 60% of Area 1

Your first task is to explore 60% of the Forbidden Grotto's first area. Just wander around until the objective is met, then head back to town. The accessory you get for this is called 'Overactive,' which gives you two boost bars per turn – pretty neat for general use!

Quest 76: Collect a Beast Horn

Next up, you'll need a Beast Horn for Quest 76. These drop from Devil Tusk enemies. Just keep exploring the Grotto; you'll run into them eventually. It shouldn't take too long.

Forbidden Grotto Area 2 & 3: Keep Exploring

Area 2 doesn't have much going on, so just keep pushing forward. In Area 3, make sure you try to reach the save point before you leave. It's not entirely clear what triggers Quest 76's completion, but it seems tied to reaching a certain point, possibly on Floor 3, near that save point. You can often complete it right after reaching the save point and teleporting out.

Forbidden Grotto Area 4: The Final Boss - Dark Tempest

You're now on the final floor, facing the last boss: Dark Tempest (5000 HP). This guy is mostly a physical attacker, so if you've been debuffing enemy PATK and buffing Rudeus's PDEF, you'll be in good shape.

Dark Tempest's Dangerous Move: 'Acid'

The main threat is its 'Acid' attack. It's an AOE with a very slow wind-up and four wait arrows, so Rudeus's Foresight ability will give you plenty of warning. This attack deals about 450 TRUE damage, which can easily KO you from full health. However, guarding halves this damage, so as long as you're prepared, it's not a huge threat.

Boss Strategy & Tips

• HP Check: Dark Tempest actually has less HP than many of the triple bosses you've fought recently.
• Instant Kill Strategy: You can even try an instant kill with your random encounter party. Have Ruijerd taunt the boss, then have Eris and Ghis unleash basic attacks.
• Optimal Strategy: For an even easier time, equip Ruijerd with defensive accessories like 'Revive on Death,' 'Survive on 1 HP,' or 'Revive First Time.' This makes the instant kill strategy much more reliable than a standard fight.

Best-in-Slot Accessory

After you defeat Dark Tempest, you'll find a chest behind him containing the best-in-slot accessory in the game. It's a shame it's only equippable by Rudeus, and that there isn't much content left to use it in!
