Vacant Forest

Guide to Vacant Forest in Beast of Reincarnation, including quest goals, boss fight strategy against Gigantron, and exploration tips for Area 1 and Area 2.

You will need at least A Cute Ribbon and Present for my precious quests before starting this dungeon. Forest cartography is also required, but it doesn't need to be actively accepted.

To achieve 100% exploration in this map, you will need Roxy party, which you acquire much later. For now, focus on reaching 70% of map 1 for the quest.

Vacant Forest Area 1

This area has two quest goals: 70% exploration and the marked quest goal. The next area features a boss fight with no save point, so it's advisable to leave and recharge SP after securing the shortcut before rushing the boss goal.

Vacant Forest Area 2

The quest goal in this area is a boss fight against Gigantron. This boss is not listed in the bestiary, so its exact HP is unknown, but it is not overly strong.

While Gigantron is not weak to it, fire element attacks are recommended. You should have enough AP to acquire stronger fire spells and utilize Eris's fire resistance down skill. Gigantron has a powerful single-target attack and a weaker area-of-effect (AoE) attack. If Rudeus has AoE heal level 3 or higher, you should manage well. Try to maintain full HP, as the single-target attack can deplete most of it. Consider investing in earth PDEF buffs instead of additional AoE HP heal levels, as the boss is entirely physical.

Completing all quests up to this point should grant you 100% reputation in Rikarisu city, unlocking Sylphiette as an ally. Although lore-wise she shouldn't be available yet, the party only has three slots. Sylphiette is not recommended for active combat at this stage. However, you can swap party members on the fly, and she can use her healing skills outside of battle without being in the active party. She is useful as a healing tool during regular exploration, starting with over 4,000 AP, enough to use any skill at any level. Party members outside the active party still receive full EXP and AP.
