How to Unlock Lucario:

1. Play 100 brawls.
2. Have Lucario join your party in The Subspace Emissary.
3. Clear every level of Target Smash.

Character Overview:

Lucario is a character who can be hard to pin down, possessing quick attacks but also difficulty approaching. His aura-based attacks have a long reach but can sometimes feel inconsistent. He can achieve low-percent KOs but also struggles to find kills at times. Lucario's playstyle is comparable to Regigigas, being devastating once momentum is built but having trouble initiating it. He is considered the spiritual successor to Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee, inheriting solid mobility and an awkward feel, but is more effective than Mewtwo. He is generally an average character but offers interesting gameplay.

Grounded Moves:

• Up Tilt: A fantastic move that hits all around Lucario quickly, popping opponents straight up. Can combo into itself on uninjured opponents. Use liberally.
• Forward Tilt: A fast move that sacrifices knockback and range for damage racking due to its double hit.
• Down Tilt: Knocks opponents away quickly at an upward angle that Lucario struggles to use effectively.
• Forward Smash: A powerful killing move with long reach but is slow and predictable due to its distinctive animation.
• Up Smash: Has KO potential but suffers from awful range, making it a poor choice.
• Down Smash: Lucario's safest power option, sweeping all around him. Rely on it heavily.
• Dash Attack: Knocks opponents upward.
• Jab Combo: A surprisingly well-ranged combo.
