Follow this step-by-step guide to capture all enemy documents in Call of Duty: World at War, navigating minefields and bunkers to complete Objective 1.

Alright, this first objective is all about grabbing some intel. As soon as Captain Foley wraps up his briefing, you'll need to make a run for it across the field ahead. Your main goal here is to stick to the right side, keeping as close to those mine signs as you possibly can without, you know, blowing yourself up. The road is your friend; stay near it because it’ll point you in the right direction.

You'll spot a little valley up ahead. When you do, get low and find some cover behind a rock or anything else that looks sturdy. Pull out your Springfield rifle and scout ahead. See that MG42 emplacement? Try to take out the gunner before they even start firing at you. If you can't get a clean shot immediately, at least get a good idea of where they are, then lean out again for another try. Once that MG42 is silenced, take care of the other two Germans hanging out in the pit.

Now, head up the hill next to the MG42 pit and make your way towards the bunker at the top. You'll encounter some ground troops on your way up, so use your Thompson to deal with them. Once you're inside the bunker, you'll find about three or four more Germans. Take them out quickly, and then grab the documents that are sitting on the bed. Just a quick check: make sure no one's manning any other MG42s inside the bunker before you move on.

Time to head out of the bunker and switch back to your Springfield. Your next task is to scout out the MG42 emplacements for the following bunker. If they're active, you'll want to move fast to neutralize them – messing with those things is a bad idea. Once they're clear, make your way to the next bunker. It's pretty much a repeat of the last one: clear out the three or four Germans inside, grab the documents, and then do a final sweep to ensure no one's in the MG42 pits.
