The Bren is a British machine gun in Call of Duty. It significantly slows down player movement, making it feel like moving through molasses. Due to its recoil, aiming for the feet is recommended. Despite its drawbacks, the Bren is powerful and can be used effectively while prone to hold areas. Firing into bushes may yield unexpected kills. When using the Bren, going prone is a common tactic.

Game Types: Call of Duty features 5 game types: Search and Destroy (SD), Retrieval (RE), Behind Enemy Lines (BEL), Death Match (DM), and Team Death Match (TDM).

Behind Enemy Lines (BEL): This game mode is described as a pointless tag match. Players switch teams by killing opponents. For example, if you start as German and kill an American, you become American. This cycle continues without a definitive winner.

Death Match (DM): A good mode for practice. Players choose a team and weapon and engage in free-for-all combat. It's suitable for casual play, with instant respawns by pressing the F key. For a more serious approach, players should stay under cover and reload when safe.

Team Death Match (TDM): This is the most popular and serious game mode, often used by clans for recruitment. Players should never kill their teammates, as it's considered rude and can result in reflective damage being enabled on servers. Strategies include picking a preferred weapon (e.g., MP44 if German), avoiding popular weapons, staying under cover, working as a group, and not splitting up. Scouting or acting as bait can be done by one player leaving the group. Avoid staying too close to teammates to prevent grenade casualties. Effective teams distribute weapons, with a suggested team composition of 3 snipers, 2 sub-machine gunners, 2 support infantrymen, and 3 riflemen for a 10-man team. Winning TDM requires having more points (total kills minus total deaths) than the enemy. While respawns are instant, staying alive is important. Reload under cover and use varied routes into enemy territory. Identify and exploit enemy weak points, or if facing team stacking, let the enemy come to you and set up ambushes. Automatic weapons like the BAR or PPSh are good for defense, while snipers are effective for offense to pick off enemies before they can ambush.

Search and Destroy (SD): In this mode, the objective is to destroy enemy targets like tanks or artillery, or to defend them.
