Alright, let's dive into the "Achilles' Veil" mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. This is where things get really tense as deep cover operative Farid tries to get close to Raul Menendez. You'll be playing as Farid for a good chunk of this, so stick close to Menendez and DeFalco (if he's around) and try not to blow your cover. Keep an ear out for Harper on the comms, he's your lifeline here. Things kick off with a Cordis Die rally. Watch out, because a VTOL is going to get shot down by an FHJ-18 AA launcher. Soon after, quadrotors will attack. Menendez will tell you to head to the Citadel, and you'll have to fight your way through. Keep moving and take out those enemies and drones. Later, Menendez will intercept Harper. He'll suspect a traitor and give you a Five Seven pistol. This is a major turning point: you have to choose between shooting Menendez or Harper. * Shoot Menendez: This is the canon choice. You'll avoid his attack and he'll kill Farid. Harper will be spared. As Section, you'll then call for extraction for Harper and use a VTOL's minigun to clear out the remaining militia. * Shoot Harper: If you choose this, Harper gets shot in the head. Farid is spared, and an allied VTOL helps clear out the militia. Farid will be pretty shaken up by this. After this choice, you'll take control of Section. You'll get some quadrotors to help you out. Once you reach the Citadel, an allied VTOL will be waiting, and Menendez will be captured. The mission wraps up with the Navy SEALs securing the area and preparing to interrogate Menendez. Outcomes: * Farid survives. * Farid is dead. * Strategic Defense Coalition allied with US military - Strike Force complete. Challenges: There are 10 challenges in this mission that can unlock some sweet gear. Completing 2 challenges gets you the DSR-50, and completing 5 unlocks the FHJ-18 AA for your loadout. * Destroy enemy quad drones (x20). * Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) with your sword. * Melee enemy personnel (x20) while using optical camouflage. (This stacks with the sword challenge if you have it!) * Destroy enemy quad drones (x8) with the turret. * Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) by exploding vehicles. * Destroy enemy ASD (x4) while disabled. * Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) as the VTOL gunner. * Direct quad drones to eliminate enemy personnel (x25). * Collect intel (x3). * Achieve a 100% survivability rating.
