Alright, let's get you through the 'Blackout' mission in Call of Duty 4. This is the fourth mission, and it picks up right after the mess Al-Asad made in the Arabian Peninsula. You'll be joining up with Captain Price and the SAS, teaming up with some Russian Loyalist troops led by Sergeant Kamarov in the Caucasus Mountains. Your main goal? To rescue an informant named Nikolai, who's been captured by the Ultranationalists. They're planning to execute him, and Price isn't having any of that – he says, "We take care of our friends." When you insert, you'll need to take out some guard posts quietly first. After that, you'll meet up with Kamarov and his guys. Here's where things get a little tense. Price wants Nikolai safe, no matter what. Kamarov, on the other hand, has his own agenda: freeing a nearby village and taking out an Ultranationalist BM-21 rocket launcher. Since they both need each other, there's a bit of friction between them. During the assault on the village, you'll be providing sniper support as MacTavish from a ridge. Keep an eye out for Ultranationalist helicopter troops trying to flank on the left – taking them out will really help the Loyalists push forward. Things might get a bit slow, and Gaz might get impatient with Kamarov's stalling. He'll eventually push Kamarov to reveal Nikolai's location: a house at the end of the village. At this point, you'll kinda leave the Loyalists to it and make your way to the house. MacTavish and Price will go in, while Gaz handles cutting the power to make things easier. You'll successfully grab Nikolai, and with the village secured by the Loyalists, you'll get extracted by helicopter to a safehouse in Germany. **Weapon Loadout:** Your starting gear will be the M4A1 SOPMOD and an M21 Suppressed sniper rifle. You'll find AK-47s and G3s used by the enemies throughout the level.
