Synopsis: Years after his confinement, Dylan Faden is deployed by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) to combat a supernatural crisis. A cosmic entity is altering reality, and Dylan must use his new powers and a shape-shifting weapon called the Aberrant to fight threats across Manhattan. He also seeks his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden, to understand and contain the dangers.

Gameplay: Control Resonant is an open-ended action-adventure RPG emphasizing player choice in combat style. It features fast-paced traversal in warped environments, unpredictable enemies with unique abilities, and mind-bending powers and weapons. Players control Dylan Faden, utilizing the Aberrant melee weapon and his paranatural abilities. The game world is described as expansive with distinct locations. Equippable apparel will be available, with early sign-ups for newsletters offering exclusive items like the Communications Department Headset and Optical Filtering Goggles.

Development: Remedy Entertainment initially partnered with 505 Games for a larger-budget Control game (codenamed Heron). It was revealed as Control 2 in November 2022, co-developed and co-published by Remedy and 505 Games, using the Northlight engine. The game entered a proof-of-concept stage in February 2023. In February 2024, Remedy acquired full rights to the Control franchise and announced plans for self-publishing future titles, including Control 2. Annapurna Pictures is co-funding Control 2.
