The items you can use in Death Stranding Director's Cut are organized into three primary categories, corresponding to distinct sections of your Heads-Up Display (HUD). These categories are Tools, Equipment, and Consumables.

Tools are items that can be selected using the DPad Right. Equipment is accessed by pressing DPad Up. Consumables are chosen with DPad Left.
