M9: Checking Out the Men in Charge

Head to 33 Hlavni Apartments and enter apartment #203. You can hack the Keypad (Security Rating: 3), use Remote Hacking on the windows, or enter via apartment #202 and use the vent near the stairs.

Hack Jim Miller's computer (Security Rating: 2) for XP and to learn about his personal life.

Go upstairs and interact with Miller’s punching bag to reveal a secret door.

Search the floor in the secret room for a hidden compartment containing a 10mm Pistol and a Concussion Grenade.

Enter the secret room and take the “Jim Miler Keycard” from a table.

Hack the computer in the secret room (Security Rating: 3), though it yields no useful information.

Pick up the Sniper Rifle, Sniper Rifle Regular Ammo, and Sniper Rifle Armor Piercing Ammo.

Crouch and examine the shelves under the computer to find “Triangle Code #22”.

Hack the Keypad on a safe (Security Rating: 5) to find a Multi-Tool, a Gas Grenade, a Credit Chip, and a Pocket Secretary.

Leave Miller’s apartment and proceed towards TF29. Between Rose’s Garden and TF29, climb over a wooden fence blocking an alley.

Enter the alley and meet Alex. During the conversation, give her Rucker’s Evidence if you have it.

Finish the conversation with Alex and the subsequent discussion about Janus.

Enter TF29 and proceed to Miller’s office.

Go through the door labeled “15 Neural Subnet” to the north to automatically enter the NSN.

In the virtual NSN, you will occupy the avatar of virtual Miller. Your objective is to access five Data Towers using Remote Hacking. Avoid detection by cameras and laser grids to earn the trophy/achievement “The Net is Vast and Infinite”.

Search the perimeter of the virtual conference room for a glowing triangle that will teleport you.

From your arrival point, head left or right to find Server Blocks. Use Remote Hacking to manipulate the environment and open pathways.

Hack a vertical Server Block to reveal a glassy vent cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects). Crawl through to access the first Data Tower. Download the data.

Crawl back out and proceed through the newly opened door. A bridge will form; cross it.

Navigate around the laser grid protecting the second Data Tower. Turn right at the lasers, then left, and look through an opening to find the tower on a ledge.

Hack two horizontal Server Blocks in the wall to extend them. Continue around the laser-grid square to the opposite side.

Hack another Server Block in the wall to create a platform. Jump on it, then turn right and follow the walkway. Jump onto the two extended Server Blocks to reach and access the second Data Tower.

Drop to the floor below, turn right to find stairs, and go down the stairs to the left. Turn right at an alcove.

Hack a Server Block to retract it, revealing a vent. Climb through into a room with Server Blocks.

Find “Triangle Code #10” on the floor in this room.

Hack the Server Block in the corner to the right of Triangle Code #10 to retract it. Stand on it and hack it again to extend it, raising you to the room above.

Turn left to find a ladder. Remote hack another ladder to deploy it and climb it.

Crouch to find a vent cover and crawl through a chute to reach the third Data Tower.

Download the data from the third Data Tower. Server Blocks will extend beside you.

Hack horizontal Server Blocks across the way to create a path. Jump across them to reach and scale a pyramidal structure.

Drop through a triangular hole in the wall of the structure to bypass the lasers and reach the fourth Data Tower.

Cross the bridge used to reach the laser grid earlier and go down the stairs to the right.

Sneak past a stationary camera ahead of you and attach to cover along a doorway behind it.
