Experience and Mana Gain:

Disgaea 6 features significantly larger stats, with level 1 characters starting in the thousands. Enemies in stage 1-1 are level 1, while those in 1-2 are level 50, indicating the game's focus on high numbers. Unlike previous titles where characters gained Exp and Mana for the killing blow, Disgaea 6 pools all Exp and Mana from defeated enemies on a stage and distributes it equally among all participating characters. This system may take some adjustment for veterans.

Stage bonuses are awarded for various character actions, contributing to Exp and Mana gain:

  • Exp 10%: Kill the most enemies
  • Exp 20%: Highest damage dealt
  • Exp 30%: Most throws (items or characters)
  • Exp 50%: Supported the most skills
  • Exp 70%: Most heals (passive abilities do not count)
  • Exp 100%: Second character defeated
  • Mana 10%: Moved the most squares
  • Mana 20%: Most defends
  • Mana 25%: Took out the most chests
  • Mana 40%: Destroyed the most objects (crates/geo symbols)

Claiming D-Merit rewards on a character's status screen when they fill a class level (star) is crucial, as it permanently increases their Exp gain. Higher class levels grant stacking Exp % bonuses.

Testing indicates that using one full stack of Statisticians provides the same Exp gain as four full stacks. Therefore, only one full stack of a non-stat Innocent type is recommended per character.

Adjusting the star level in the Cheat Shop affects more than just enemy levels. For instance, an enemy that hits max level at star level 8 (e.g., 13-5 Rakshasa difficulty) will yield the same Exp at star level 20, but with higher enemy stats at level 20 compared to level 8. Beating the God of Destruction in 9-5 yields the same Exp as on other difficulties.
