Discover how to obtain high-rank items in Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, including Rank 40 items, Carnage, and Rakshasa items, and master stealing techniques.

This section details various items available in Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, focusing on how to acquire high-rank and special item types, as well as methods for stealing.

Item Ranks and Acquisition:

Rank 35 items include:

  • *Overlord Armor
  • *Vernier Thruster
  • *Chaos Orb
  • *Star Muscle
  • *Ubermensch
  • *Destiny Lens

Rank 40 items can only be obtained from Item Gods or as D-Merit rewards (Trapezohedron). Even within a Rank 40 item, common enemies will only have up to Rank 39 items equipped. Chests and Stage Clear Bonuses also only yield items up to Rank 39.

Item Types:

Special item types not sold at the shop include:

  • Muscles: Brawny Muscle, Kung-Fu Muscle, Spirit Muscle, Fight Muscle, Ace Muscle, Victory Muscle, Dream Muscle, World Muscle, Star Muscle, Cosmo Muscle
  • Orbs: Common Orb, Psycho Orb, Dark Orb, Bloody Orb, Astral Orb, Lunar Orb, Royal Orb, Holy Orb, Chaos Orb, Universal Orb
  • Emblems: Imperial Seal, Dark Rosary, Devil Ring, Feather Token, Sophia’s Mirror, Pravda Pendant, Royal Ring, Testament, Exodus, Arcadia, Trapezohedron

Item Tints:

  • Carnage items have a red tint in the list.
  • Rakshasa items have a purple tint in the list.

Item Level Transfer:

When acquiring high-rank Rakshasa items, items with up to 1,000 levels could be stolen. However, this level did not transfer to new items from Stage Clear Bonus, Innocent Town shop, or chests until manually raised by entering the item and progressing down 10 floors, then returning to base.

Stealing Mechanics:

Stealing in Disgaea 6 requires the Thief class's skills. The base skill has a ~25% success rate, which can be improved by enhancing its power and proficiency, or by using it later in a combo. The Thief's 4th skill, Grand Theft, has a ~12% success rate but attempts to steal from all enemies regardless of range.

Enhancing skills to Level 50 did not show a change in the steal percentage against level 9,999 enemies with a ~105,000 level Thief.

For stealing in the Postlude, creating and leveling multiple Thief characters to form a combo of up to 10 Thieves stealing from all enemies provides a better chance of success, especially for obtaining items from Item Gods.

Item God Stealing Trick:

To steal multiple copies of an item from an Item God: after obtaining the item, use a Mr. Gency Exit, then re-enter the same floor to steal another one. This can be repeated as needed and works even if the Item God is defeated after the initial steal. This avoids the need to descend to the next 100th floor.

Item Points:

Item Points are a new addition used to enhance an item's stats or parameters (e.g., ATK, movement, attack range, crit chance). These are earned within the Item World.
