Chapter 11 - Key to the Past

Head to Blackwater Mine.

Search the office to the left inside the mine.

Find and take a Bobby Pin Box.

Head upstairs and locate a safe; you can pick the lock with the Bobby Pins.

Follow the train tracks down into the mine shaft.

At the fork, head left and be prepared for battle.

After defeating enemies, follow your Quest Marker to the corpse of Freddie Lang.

Loot Freddie Lang for the Blackwater Bandit's Key Fragment.

Head to the Trapper's Camp, marked on your map.

At the camp, follow your Quest Marker to find the Trapper's Note.

The Note will direct you to Huntersville; head there and be prepared for battle.

After fighting through the town, follow your Quest Marker to the corpse of Walter Griswold.

Loot Walter Griswold for the Trapper's Key Fragment and run away as soon as you have it.

Head to Sunnytop Ski Lanes.

Follow your Quest Marker to a Terminal.

At the Terminal, locate Margie McClinktock's Holotape and listen to it.

Follow your Quest Marker to a different building containing Vincent Fried's Terminal.

At the Terminal, select the 'Inbox' option, then 'Admin Password'.

Head to the Palace of the Winding Path, but be prepared for battle.

Following your Quest Marker, find the password hidden in a dresser.

Again following your Quest Marker, find the Holotape Duplication Terminal.

At the Terminal, select 'Duplicate From Archives', then 'Diehard's Key Fragment'.

With the first three Key Fragments, head to Bolton Greens.

At Bolton Green's, head up to the third floor.

In front of the fireplace, you will find the Gourmand's Note.

The Gourmand's Note will direct you to Wendigo Cave; track down as many supplies, Stimpaks, weapons, and performance drugs as you can, as you will be fighting a strong Wendigo boss. It may be best to fight this in a group. Travel to Wendigo Cave.

Head inside the cave, following your Quest Marker.

Once you reach the Progenitor Wendigo, fight and kill it.

Once the Wendigo is dead, loot it for the Gourmands Key Fragment.

The fifth and final Key Fragment is at Big Fred's BBQ Shack; follow your Quest Marker there.

When you arrive, track down David Thorpe, a living man you must kill for the next Fragment.

Once he is dead, loot David Thorpe for the Cutthroat's Key Fragment.

With all five Key Fragments, return to Rose.

Rose will send you to the Charleston Capitol Building.

Head inside and locate the Crime Log Terminal.

At the Terminal, access 'Doe, J.'.

Head to the Pleasant Valley Ski Resort.

Once there, head inside the Resort. At the front desk, go upstairs. Head down the hall and back downstairs (to the left, after the gift shop).

Once you find the locked door, Rose will instruct you on where to find the key: under the floormat, at the door protected by a laser.

Find the floormat and get the key.

Using the key, go through the locked door.

Head to the back left corner of the room and pick up the Broken Uplink.
