Alright, after you've enjoyed the opening CG, head to the crew room and chat with Emma. Then, in the briefing room, talk to the Operator to snag the USN Navy website address. After that, it's time to head out to the hallway for an encounter with Purple Haze. This is your last shot at the Network for a bit, so make sure to check your mail and reply to Mr. Koike's message. Also, pop into Setup to see that Dennis has joined your crew!
It’s a good idea to get Dennis set up with his Rekson M4F before you head to the Flight Deck. If you want to see the super cool BackupFire battle skill, throw a melee weapon on him. Otherwise, a shield might be a better bet to help his wanzer's rather low HP.

Dennis has this dry wit that can be pretty funny, but in battle, he and his wanzer are a bit on the weaker side. The Rekson M4F doesn't have much HP, and honestly, his experience doesn't seem to translate into great skills in the game.
