Mayer Edward is a character you'll encounter and can recruit in Front Mission 3, specifically if you're playing through Alisa's storyline. She's an Australian agent working for the Oceania Cooperative Union's Central Intelligence Unit, and she's got a bit of a reputation for being cheerful, enjoying a drink and a gamble, but still getting the job done with precision. ### Alisa's Plot Route You'll first meet Mayer in a Shanghai lighthouse. She'll approach you and Alisa, wanting you to team up and head back to Japan. This is all tied to the coup and the mess involving MIDAS and Lukav. Once you agree to join forces, Mayer will join your party. Back at the Shanghai naval base, there's a bit of tension. Miho Shinjo doesn't exactly trust Mayer, but Mayer clears the air by revealing her own secret affiliation. Next up is Liu Hei Fong. You'll need him for the mission to stop Lukav, but he's been pretty distant since some major betrayals involving Bal Gorbovsky and the Imaginary Numbers. Liu's only willing to say you're all just using each other for now. Mayer then hires the Wulong Mercenaries to help escort you all into Japan. Once there, her main goal is to get your father, Isao Takemura, to officially join the fight against Chief of Staff Sasaki's coup forces. Her handler, N.D. Cook, lets her know that if Isao doesn't succeed, the O.C.U. Australian military will have to invade Japan – no pressure! Unfortunately, Mayer can't convince Colonel Takemura herself. Thankfully, Rudolf Kaiser from the Wulong Mercenaries steps in and manages to talk Isao around, securing the Wulong's services in the process. You'll then fight alongside Isao and your group against Sasaki's forces. When things are looking good, some of the team worry Sasaki might use the capital and the Prime Minister as shields. Liu, frustrated by the slow progress, decides to go his own way. Seeing you're concerned, Mayer follows Liu to a bar in Fukushima. She sees through his act and confronts him about his issues. In a really heartfelt chat, she even shares her own personal connection to Japan through her deceased mother. She manages to calm Liu down, possibly with a little flirting thrown in, and he rejoins the party. With that sorted, you can all focus on defeating the coup forces and stopping Lukav. ### Gallery Here are some images of Mayer Edward: * [Mayer Edward's portrait art for Front Mission 3.]() * [Mayer Edward's face sketch.
