Complete the Part 15 mission in Gears of War: Reloaded, including strategies for Insane mode and finding Cog Tag CT17.
Walkthrough
- 1Leave the initial area and hit the checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
- 2Head forward and around the bend, shotgun ready. Wait for a Wretch to enter, blast it, then head outside.
- 3Take cover behind the small wall to the right of the door across from where you entered. Use the Longshot to eliminate enemies.
- 4In the door to the left of this small wall, find grenades.
- 5After enemies are dead, a propane tank will explode, and one or two Locusts will emerge. Shotgun them if close, or use the Longshot from a distance.
- 6Head into the area and around the next bend.
- 7Outside, take cover behind the ruined car. Press X rapidly to push the car as far as it will go.
- 8Get out and roadie run towards the enemy hiding behind the small wall, using your shotgun.
- 9Allow health to regenerate on Insane mode, then head inside.
- 10Take cover beside the door and flip around it to the left side. Toss a grenade inside and then use your shotgun.
- 11Continue down the hallway and look out the window at the end. Shoot the propane tank behind the dumpster.
- 12Head outside and look up to your left to kill the remaining Locust.
- 13Go down the alleyway and through the door, then through the building.
- 14When you reach the door you can kick open, if you have the Longshot, snipe the two Locusts outside before proceeding. If not, use standard combat tactics.
- 15From the left of the small wall Dom hides behind, go through the archway and duck behind the first small wall.
- 16If you have the Longshot, shoot the moving targets. If not, use your pistol until ammo runs out, then switch to the Lancer on lower difficulties. On Hardcore or Insane, use the Lancer or available weapons to pick off enemies.
- 17After clearing the area, pick up the ammo box behind you.
- 18In front of the small wall you took cover behind, shotgun or grenade the dresser, then shoot the propane tank behind it.
- 19Move to where the Locusts originally appeared and head down the street, shooting propane tanks. To hit the first one, go to the darkness, look left, find the mailbox, stand to its left, look right behind the rubble, and shoot the propane tank.
- 20Reach the small wall and wait for the Point of Interest icon for the spotlight.
- 21Head inside the building and man the spotlight at the top, which controls similarly to the Troika. Keep the spotlight on Dom as he crosses the area.
- 22When Dom reaches the other side, equip your shotgun and head outside. Kill the two Wretches encountered on the way out.
- 23Head outside and go right towards Dom, killing any remaining enemies.
- 24To find the COG Tag (CT17), point the spotlight slightly right of the small wall Dom started near before the spotlight segment. When you go outside, head left instead of right towards Dom to pick up the Cog Tag.
- 25To the left of the burnt-out car is a doorway. Head through and take the right door.
- 26Run to the window, shoot the propane tank, switch to shotgun, hop out, kill nearby enemies, and take cover behind the small wall. Do this quickly.
- 27Kill any enemies running towards you and throw a grenade into the hole.
- 28Snipe the rest of the enemies and move down the street, shooting the one propane tank as you go, until you reach the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically).
- 29For the Dark Labyrinth (A26) section, pick up the two large ammo boxes to your left and right (or one per person in co-op).
- 30Head through the door and make a left where the light flickers. On Casual, you can go through the door; on Insane, stay back until the light comes on and stays on to avoid a prank.
- 31Head through the room and into the opposite hallway, shotgun ready.
- 32About halfway down the hallway, three Wretches will attack. Shotgun them and head into the room they came from.
- 33If you have the Lancer, chainsaw the cabinet to move forward. If you have the Shotgun/Longshot combo, use a few shots on the cabinet.
Tips
- The Longshot is highly recommended for this chapter, especially on Insane difficulty, as it makes engagements much more manageable.
- On Insane mode, allow your health to regenerate before advancing after intense firefights.
- When dealing with enemies behind cover, use grenades or shoot environmental hazards like propane tanks to flush them out or eliminate them.
- For the segment where you hop out of the window, blind-throwing a grenade around the small wall towards the hole is a recommended tactic on Insane.
- Be aware of environmental hazards like propane tanks and use them to your advantage.
- Listen to Anya's dialogue for narrative cues and guidance.
- The spotlight controls similarly to the Troika turret.
- If playing co-op, coordinate ammo box pickups.
