Navigate Part 20 of Gears of War: Reloaded, including the split paths and finding Cog Tags CT23 and CT24.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Slide down a waterfall and move forward, using the Longshot on the Locusts.
  2. 2
To your immediate left, find Cog Tags (CT23).
  3. 3
An ammo box is upstairs inside a building. Proceed down the path.
  4. 4
Shoot the collapsible stalagmite-stalactite-column with the Lancer, or snipe the Locust Sniper with the Longshot and move on.
  5. 5
Equip your shotgun and prepare for an ambush by Lambent Wretches as you exit the enclosed area. Shotgun them as they approach from one direction.
  6. 6
Continue down the path, which briefly splits with no difference between the two routes.
  7. 7
At the bottom, near two small walls with an opening, you will reach a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
  8. 8
A group of Lambent Wretches will approach; try not to move too far forward and eliminate them.
  9. 9
The left path contains large ammo boxes. The right path has more Wretches, a Boomer, and your destination.
  10. 10
Take cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) and eliminate the Wretches before sniping the Boomer. If you don't have the Longshot, move to the pillar near the Boomer to use the Lancer.
  11. 11
Head down the path to the right.
  12. 12
At the next checkpoint, you will fall again.
  13. 13
In this room, shotgun any Lambent Wretches that get close while you stand as far north as possible.
  14. 14
After killing them all, one explodes, creating an exit. Head out for a checkpoint and another split path.
  15. 15
LEFT PATH: Head forward with your shotgun. Take cover behind the small wall to the left of the ammo box and shotgun approaching Wretches. Use the Longshot or Lancer on the Locusts above.
  16. 16
Move forward, underneath the right path. Take cover behind the first small wall and repeat the process: shotgun Wretches and Longshot/snipe Locusts. On Insane difficulty, take out the Locusts on Dom's path as well.
  17. 17
As you move forward, Wretches will drop from above; shotgun them all. Head forward to reach a checkpoint.
  18. 18
RIGHT PATH: Head down the path with your shotgun. Move forward and take cover behind the pillar. If overpowered, move back to the rocks.
  19. 19
Shotgun all approaching Wretches first, then use the Longshot or Lancer on the Locusts hiding behind rocks ahead.
  20. 20
Head up the path and over the Right Path. Hide behind a tall wall and repeat the process: shotgun Wretches and Longshot Locusts. On Insane, take out the Locusts on the Left Path that bother you.
  21. 21
Move forward. When you reach the large pillar-rock between the paths, several Wretches will drop in; shoot them.
  22. 22
Two more Locusts will appear, easily dealt with by the Longshot or Shotgun.
  23. 23
AFTERWARDS: Proceed down the path. A small off-branch on the right holds ammo if needed.
  24. 24
Continue forward into a hallway with more Locusts. Take cover behind the first available wall.
  25. 25
Use the Magnum to take out Wretches crawling on the ceiling. Shotgun any Locusts that get close, and Longshot those that don't.
  26. 26
Gradually make your way down the hall, repeating this process.
  27. 27
As you enter a large opening, a Corpser is to your left. Make a 180-degree turn and head left to find Cog Tags (CT24).
Tips
  • On Insane difficulty, Wretches are manageable if you maintain the correct distance for shotgunning them.
  • The Left Path is generally considered easier on Insane, but the Right Path has a viable strategy if needed.
  • During the last firefight of this chapter on Insane, stay in cover and try to eliminate the three Wretches with the Magnum before they reach you.
