Gears of War: Reloaded Part 24 walkthrough. Find a Torque Bow early and conserve ammo on Insane difficulty.
Walkthrough
- 1After a Wretch appears, shoot it and proceed through the door.
- 2Grab grenades located in front of the Seeder.
- 3Follow the Theron Guard in the distance.
- 4When a gate appears on your left, move right and take cover behind a low diagonal wall.
- 5Snipe enemies until a Boomer appears, then eliminate it, preferably with the Longshot if other enemies remain.
- 6Use your shotgun to clear remaining enemies and pick up ammo.
- 7Head right, then left. Destroy a dresser to find a Torque Bow.
- 8Continue left, then right, following the path to an archway and a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
- 9Take cover beside the stairs and snipe enemies. An ammo box is behind you.
- 10On Insane, be cautious of Theron Guards.
- 11Once all enemies are dead, proceed to the middle area.
- 12A doorway to your left contains an ammo box.
- 13Cross to the stairs opposite your entrance and head up.
- 14Take cover behind the large building and snipe enemies.
- 15Move up to the tombstones and snipe all remaining Locust.
- 16Head up the stairs to exit the area.
- 17Upon entering the new area, immediately turn right to find a Torque Bow.
- 18Switch your close-range weapon for the Torque Bow and take cover behind a small garden box.
- 19Torque the Troika, then switch back to your Longshot (or preferred weapon).
- 20Slowly move past the gates, sniping enemies and shot-gunning those who get close.
- 21Head up the stairs and clear any remaining enemies.
- 22Go down the *other* stairs (not the ones you just ascended) and shotgun the Troika operator.
- 23Approach the Troika operator from behind for an easy shotgun or chainsaw kill, unless you alert him.
- 24When a Theron Guard blows open a gate, enter and take cover immediately.
- 25Longshot the Theron Guard unless it closes the distance.
- 26Pick up the ammo box and proceed to the end of the area.
- 27Kick open the gate.
- 28In the next area, stay low and snipe, gradually moving upwards.
- 29After engaging the first Locusts and a Theron Guard, move up and shotgun the Boomer.
- 30For a risky approach, run and gun Theron Guards with your shotgun; otherwise, stay back and snipe from a position safe from Torque Bow fire.
- 31Upon reaching the top, watch the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically).
- 32After the cutscene, enter the house.
- 33Head towards the stairs but do not ascend them. Go left to find the Locust hole.
- 34Plug the hole, then return and go up the stairs.
- 35Locust will appear on the opposite side of your ascent. Engage them on the left side.
- 36Enter the small room on your left, positioning yourself just inside until you hear Locusts.
- 37Move to the left side of the manor where Locusts appear and run and gun them with your shotgun.
- 38If you die, try staying back and sniping.
- 39Once all Locusts are dead, go downstairs and take cover behind the dresser on the right.
- 40Wait for Locusts to break down the door and shotgun them. If you have the Lancer, rev your chainsaw by the door.
- 41Proceed through the door and down the hallway.
- 42Take cover beside the door and snipe until the Locust hole at the end of the room closes.
- 43After the hole closes, wait for a door to burst open and engage the Locusts that emerge.
- 44Move through the door they opened.
- 45Go to the end of the hallway and turn right.
- 46Chainsaw, shotgun, or grenade the lone desk to find Cog Tags (CT27).
- 47Head up the small stairs and down the hallway.
- 48Go through the door at the end and twist the valve.
- 49Descend the stairs. Blast wooden boards covering a door on your way down to find four grenades if needed.
- 50Kill the two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs.
- 51Burst open the door and head right or left.
- 52A Longshot is available over the low wall on either side if needed.
- 53At the end of the area, go down the stairs on the left.
- 54The farthest wine shelf on the north wall conceals a door; open it.
- 55Open the inner door to trigger a sequence where Jack must rip it open.
Tips
- On Insane difficulty, ammo for the Longshot is scarce. Conserve ammo boxes by using them only after all enemies are eliminated to maximize their benefit.
- The chapter is not overly difficult, but the area before the HoD's satellites go offline can be challenging. Stay in cover, be very cautious, and try not to get frustrated. Intelligent play should mitigate Boomer threats.
- When engaging enemies near the house, staying back and sniping can make the initial part easier.
- The part where Locusts burst through the door in the Main Hall can be difficult if your shotgun isn't effective until the enemy is fully in the room. If you struggle, try sniping from a distance.
- The subsequent part is manageable with the Longshot.
- The two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs can be defeated by randomly shot-gunning into the room.
- If you find yourself struggling with the run and gun approach for the Locusts in the manor, try staying back and sniping.
