Complete Gears of War Part 24 walkthrough, including tips for Insane difficulty and finding Cog Tags (CT27).

Walkthrough
  1. 1
After a Wretch appears, shoot him and proceed through the door.
  2. 2
In the hallway, a Lancer and another Wretch are present; only grab them if needed.
  3. 3
Outside, find grenades in front of the Seeder.
  4. 4
Proceed through the only available door.
  5. 5
    Follow the Theron Guard.
  6. 6
When a closed gate appears to your left, move right and take cover behind a low diagonal wall.
  7. 7
Snipe enemies until a Boomer appears, then eliminate it with the Longshot if other enemies remain.
  8. 8
Use your shotgun to clear remaining enemies and pick up ammo.
  9. 9
    Head right, then left.
  10. 10
Destroy a dresser to find a Torque Bow if desired.
  11. 11
Head left, then right, following the path to an archway and a checkpoint (a point where the game saves your progress).
  12. 12
Take cover beside the stairs and begin sniping; an ammo box is behind you if needed.
  13. 13
Be cautious of Theron Guards on Insane difficulty.
  14. 14
Once all enemies are dead, move to the middle area.
  15. 15
To your left from the entrance, a doorway can be kicked open for an ammo box.
  16. 16
Cross to the opposite side from where you entered and ascend the stairs.
  17. 17
Take cover behind the large building and snipe enemies.
  18. 18
Move up to the tombstones and snipe all remaining Locusts.
  19. 19
Proceed up the stairs to exit the area.
  20. 20
Upon entering the new area, immediately turn right to find a Torque Bow.
  21. 21
Switch your non-close-range weapon for the Torque Bow and take cover behind a small garden box.
  22. 22
Shoot the Troika (a heavy mounted gun) with the Torque Bow.
  23. 23
Move back and switch the Torque Bow for your Longshot or other weapon.
  24. 24
Slowly advance past the gates, sniping enemies and shotgunning those who get close.
  25. 25
Go up the stairs and clear any remaining enemies.
  26. 26
Descend the other stairs (not the ones you just ascended).
  27. 27
Shoot the enemy manning the Troika; you can approach for an easy shotgun or chainsaw kill if you remain undetected.
  28. 28
When a Theron Guard blows open a gate, enter and take cover immediately.
  29. 29
Use the Longshot to eliminate the Theron Guard unless it approaches you.
  30. 30
Pick up the ammo box and proceed to the end of the area.
  31. 31
    Kick open the gate.
  32. 32
As soon as you enter the next area, turn right to find a Torque Bow.
  33. 33
Take cover behind a small garden box.
  34. 34
Shoot the Troika with the Torque Bow.
  35. 35
Switch back to your Longshot or preferred weapon.
  36. 36
Slowly move past the gates, sniping enemies and shotgunning those who get close.
  37. 37
Go up the stairs and clear any remaining enemies.
  38. 38
    Descend the other stairs.
  39. 39
Shoot the enemy manning the Troika; you can approach for an easy shotgun or chainsaw kill if you remain undetected.
  40. 40
When a Theron Guard blows open a gate, enter and take cover immediately.
  41. 41
Use the Longshot to eliminate the Theron Guard unless it approaches you.
  42. 42
Pick up the ammo box and head to the end of this area.
  43. 43
    Kick open the gate.
  44. 44
Stay low and snipe, gradually moving upwards.
  45. 45
After the first Locusts and a Theron Guard, move up and shotgun the Boomer.
  46. 46
For a risky approach, run and gun the Theron Guards with your shotgun; for a safer approach, stay back and snipe from a position where you cannot be hit by the Torque Bow.
  47. 47
When you reach the top, watch the cutscene (a non-interactive story sequence).
  48. 48
After the cutscene, enter the house.
  49. 49
Head towards the stairs but do not ascend them.
  50. 50
Go left and locate the area where a Locust hole (a portal for enemies) appears.
  51. 51
    Plug the hole.
  52. 52
Head back and ascend the stairs.
  53. 53
Locusts will appear on the opposite side of your ascent; take them on the left side.
  54. 54
Enter the small room on your left, but only partially, until you hear Locusts.
  55. 55
Head to the left side of the manor where Locusts appear and use a run 'n gun approach with your shotgun.
  56. 56
If you struggle, stay back and snipe, but rushing with the shotgun is recommended.
  57. 57
Once all Locusts are dead, head downstairs and take cover behind the dresser on the right.
  58. 58
Wait for a Locust to break down the door and shotgun it.
  59. 59
If you have the Lancer, wait by the door with your chainsaw revved.
  60. 60
Proceed through the door and down the hallway.
  61. 61
Take cover beside the door and snipe until the Locust hole at the end of the room closes.
  62. 62
Wait for a door to burst open with Locusts and eliminate them.
  63. 63
Move through the door they opened.
  64. 64
Head to the end of the hallway and turn right.
  65. 65
Chainsaw, shotgun, or grenade a lone desk to find Cog Tags (CT27).
  66. 66
Ascend the small stairs and proceed down the hallway.
  67. 67
Go through the door at the end and twist the valve.
  68. 68
    Descend the stairs.
  69. 69
Blast through wooden boards covering a door on your way down to find four grenades if needed.
  70. 70
Kill the two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs.
  71. 71
Burst open the door and head right or left.
  72. 72
A Longshot is available over the low wall on either side if needed.
  73. 73
When you reach the end, descend the stairs on the left.
  74. 74
The farthest wine shelf on the north wall is a door; open it.
  75. 75
Open the door inside to find that Jack will have to rip it open, indicating a subsequent event.
Tips
  • On Insane difficulty, ammo for the Longshot is scarce. Conserve ammo boxes by using them only after all enemies are dead to maximize their benefit.
  • The chapter is not overly difficult. The area before the HoD's satellites go offline may be challenging. Stay in cover, be very cautious, and try not to get frustrated. Intelligent play should make Boomers manageable.
  • When facing the Troika, use the Torque Bow from cover.
  • After the cutscene in the house, when Locusts appear on the opposite side of your ascent, use the small room on your left as a partial cover point until you hear them.
  • For the Locusts appearing in the manor, a run 'n gun shotgun approach is recommended, but staying back to snipe is an alternative if you struggle.
  • When a Locust breaks down the door in the main hall, if you are struggling with the shotgun, try staying far back and sniping.
  • The two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs can be easily dealt with by randomly shooting into the room with a shotgun.
  • If you need a Longshot, one is available over the low wall on either side of the hallway before the final stairs.
  • The farthest wine shelf on the north wall is a hidden door.
