Guide to Homeworld Mission 10: Survive the Keepers. Learn how to defend your fleet against invulnerable Keepers of Sa'Juuk and get your Destroyer repaired.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon exiting hyperspace, you will immediately be attacked by two Keepers. Split your fleet into two groups and focus all firepower on one Keeper at a time. The goal is to inflict as much damage as possible, as you cannot actually defeat them.
- 2Continue to attack the Keepers until they disappear. Using mines might be an option, but their effectiveness is questionable. Even if you manage to destroy a Keeper, the game may crash or the mission may fail to end. It is highly unlikely you can destroy a Keeper without a very large fleet (e.g., 15 battlecruisers).
- 3Bentus will appear and offer to repair your Great Cannon (Destroyer, DN). Position your Mothership (MS) a short distance in front of the DN to minimize repair time. Dock the DN with the Bentusi ship as soon as they arrive. The repair process will take approximately 10 minutes.
- 4During the repair time, move your mobile refineries, carriers, and other non-combat ships around to distract the Keepers, as they target all ship types including destroyers, carriers, mobile refineries, MS, and frigates.
- 5Focus all your firepower on any ship being targeted by a Keeper's quad ion cannon array, which can fire continuously. Ships under attack will not last long.
- 6Once the DN is repaired, it can be fired, dealing massive damage, but still not enough to destroy the Keepers. Keep them at bay until the Bentusi offer their final gift.
- 7The Bentusi will sacrifice themselves to destroy the four Keepers. As soon as they announce their farewell, leave the area to win the mission.
Tips
- Focus fire on one Keeper at a time.
- Mines may offer some assistance, but their effectiveness is uncertain.
- Prioritize getting your Destroyer repaired by the Bentusi.
- Move non-combat ships to distract Keepers while your Destroyer is being repaired.
- Any ship targeted by a Keeper's ion cannons should be focused on by your entire fleet.
- Do not focus on collecting resources; prioritize fleet survival and repairs.
