Return to Keystone

Guide yourself back to Keystone after clearing the Western Antechamber. Learn how to defeat the Dimensional Beast and get your rewards.

Alright, so you've just exited that temple and you'll see a little side area to your left with some wounded soldiers. Go ahead and head in there; there's a cut-scene and a chat. These guys are Deserters, and they'll actually give you a side-quest to clear out the Western Antechamber. Stick with it, we'll get back to them later.

Now, you'll need to backtrack across the Eternal Flame. Watch out, though – there are some Dimensional Beasts and Crossbowmen hanging around now that weren't there before. Once you've dealt with them, go through the door that leads back to the very beginning of this whole section. There's a Checkpoint Crystal here if you want to use it, and then it's time to head into the Western Antechamber.

Western Antechamber

As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the floor below is now crawling with a Dimensional Beast – that's our main target. You'll also find the Forger chilling here again (unless you've died, in which case he might not be), and a Demon Hound chilling down a small corridor at the base of the stairs.

Here's a pro-tip: if you can manage it, get to the bottom of the stairs and use your gauntlet to pull the Dimensional Beast over to you. Lure him up top so you don't have to deal with aggravating the other enemies while you're fighting him. Once that big guy is down, you can either stick around and clear out the rest of the enemies (totally optional) or just head back to those Deserters to let them know you've cleared the room.

For your troubles, you'll get 500XP and a new Weapon (Dagger - Protector). If you chat with them again and offer them a potion, you'll snag an additional 500XP.

Now that we're done here, retrace your steps back to the start of the area and have another chat with the Crafter. You'll hand him a quest item, and from now on, he'll be available to you whenever you find an Anvil out in the world. Pretty handy!

After that little chat, just head through the portal and you'll be back in Keystone. Easy peasy.
