Detailed walkthrough for the 'Return to Keystone Citadel' section of Lords of the Fallen (2014). Includes enemy encounters, item locations, and strategies for progression.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon entering the Old Quarters, you'll face stronger human enemies, starting with a Rogue at the top of the stairs and a Knight down the corridor. It's advised to pull the Rogue back and then engage the Knight. An Audio Note (The Results) is located where the Knight was.
  2. 2
Before proceeding to the final boss at the top of the Citadel, consider completing remaining side-quests and exploration. Options include heading through the doorway opposite the stairs to clear enemies in the room below, or continuing up the stairs by the Knight.
  3. 3
    Additional Tasks:
    • Return to the Rhogar Temple for the final two Runic Notes (Audio Note: New Religion: The Judges in the Eastern Antechamber, and Audio Note: New Religion: The Lords near the Crippled Rhogar after the Infiltrator fight).
  4. 4
Return to the Rhogar Temple to kill the final two Tyrants at the Portal arena for remaining Tyrant Hearts, which have a chance to drop a Weapon (Polesword - Jaw).
  5. 5
Hand in remaining Tyrant Hearts to the Wounded Monk in the South Watchtower.
  6. 6
Visit the top of the burned watchtower (where the signal fire was lit) for a new Weapon (Hammer - Hope).
  7. 7
    Complete any remaining Loot Crystals.
  8. 8
When ready, climb the stairs, kill the archer at the top, and enter Loot Crystal #10.
  9. 9
Loot Crystal #10 (Proving Ground Arena): This is the fourth and final arena. A Checkpoint Crystal and Anvil are near the entrance warp crystal. Stand on the central circular panel to begin the waves:
    • Three Spiders
  10. 10
    Human Rogue and a Spirit
  11. 11
    Two Spellcasters and a Knight
  12. 12
After defeating all waves, step on the central plate again to open a chest containing:
    • Attribute Point Shard
  13. 13
    Spell Point Shard
  14. 14
    Armour Set (Lords)
  15. 15
    Weapon (Hammer - Glance)
  16. 16
Exit Loot Crystal #10. Kill the archer ahead and proceed through the passage. Approach the next doorway cautiously, as a Knight may ambush you. Lure it back and defeat it.
  17. 17
Main Hallway: Edge out the next door and use your gauntlet to shoot the archer to the left. If it doesn't come, briefly expose yourself to draw its fire, then retreat and shoot. Be wary of its magic-draining grenades.
  18. 18
Continue down the hallway. An enemy at the far end will flee, and a human with a greatsword will appear. Defeat them. Return to where the archer was.
  19. 19
Below, you'll see three Knights (two with shields, one with a greatsword). An Audio Note (Wanted: Guard Orders) is among them. Use your gauntlet to pull enemies one at a time and defeat them at the top of the stairs.
  20. 20
Proceed down the main hall to the next doorway. An archer is visible, but a Rogue is behind a short corner to the left. Engage the archer near the entryway to focus on one target before fighting the Rogue.
  21. 21
The door to the left behind the Rogue leads to the Initiation Room, containing a Checkpoint Crystal. Inside, you'll face an archer guarding the door, followed by a Rogue and a Knight with a greatsword.
  22. 22
Return to the main hallway and enter the next door for a cut-scene and a fight against the Captain. The Captain is faster and hits harder than greatsword knights. Lure it back to the room with the Checkpoint Crystal and use the open space to defeat it, preferably with the gauntlet.
Tips
  • Human enemies in this area are significantly stronger than previous Rhogar foes.
  • Utilize the environment for strategic pulls and ambushes.
  • The gauntlet is effective for ranged engagement and luring enemies.
  • Save frequently at available Checkpoint Crystals, especially before challenging arenas or boss encounters.
  • The final Proving Ground arena requires careful management of enemy waves.
