Learn how to build your first Wooden Church and upgrade it to a Small Stone Church in Manor Lords. Discover the resource requirements and new buildings needed for upgrades.

Alright, let's talk about churches in Manor Lords! They're more than just pretty buildings; they're actually pretty important for your settlement's growth. You'll need to build one to get your Burgage Plots up to Level 2, which is a big step towards turning your little village into a proper town.

Building Your First Wooden Church

To get your first church up and running, you'll need to gather these resources:

  • 5 Lumber
  • 20 Planks
  • 10 Stone

Don't worry if you don't have these yet. You'll need a Logging Camp to get Lumber, and then a Saw Pit to turn that Lumber into Planks (usually, 1 Lumber gives you 5 Planks). For Stone, you'll need to mine it on the region map. Once you've got all that, you can build your Wooden Church.

After it's built, make sure to assign a family to it. They'll handle the sermons and also act as gravediggers, which is pretty handy. Remember, this church is key to unlocking Level 2 Burgage Plots!

Upgrading to a Stone Church

Once your settlement grows into a large village, you'll get new quests, and one of them will be to upgrade your church to stone. This is for reaching Level 3 Burgage Plots. For the Small Stone Church, you'll need:

  • 5 Lumber
  • 20 Stone
  • 10 Planks
  • 10 Rooftiles

You should already have plenty of Lumber, Stone, and Planks from just playing the game. The new material here is Rooftiles. To get these, you'll need to find and extract clay. Then, you'll build a Clay Furnace in the Industry tab to refine that clay into Rooftiles. It's a new step, but totally manageable!

So, get that clay, make those Rooftiles, and you'll be well on your way to a magnificent stone church. Good luck building up your settlement!
