Master livestock management in Manor Lords! Learn how to acquire and utilize Oxen, Horses, Mules, Goats, Chickens, and Sheep for your settlement's growth and economy.

Livestock in Manor Lords are creatures managed by citizens at various jobs. The available livestock include Sheep & Lambs (Sheep farm workers), Horses (Hitching Post/Stable or Trading Post Workers), Oxen (Hitching Post/Stable or Farmhouse Workers), Mules (Livestock Trader), Goats (Burgage Plots), Chickens (Burgage Plots), and Deer (Hunter’s Camp).

To increase your livestock capacity, build and upgrade Hitching Posts to Small Stables. Livestock Trading Posts also provide pasture space. A Hitching Post has one animal slot, a Small Stable has two, and upgrading to a Stable requires two planks. Hitching Posts need one log. Livestock Trading Posts can pasture four sheep.

Oxen

Oxen aid in transporting lumber and can be used at sawmills. With the Heavy Plowing development, they can plow farm fields when assigned to Farmhouses, assisting with heavy logistics and transportation of goods. Hire an Oxen at a Hitching Post for approximately 20 regional wealth, with a 30-day cooldown.

Horses

Horses improve Trading Post efficiency. Assign them to Trading Posts to increase trade capabilities and transport goods between warehouses and the trading center. Up to two horses can work at a Trading Post. Hiring a horse costs 30 regional wealth and has a cooldown.

Mules

Mules are imported from Livestock Trading Posts and help transport bartered goods. Purchase Mules from the Livestock Trading Post for 12 regional wealth each.

Goats and Deer

Goats and Deer provide meat and hide. Build Goat Sheds in Burgage Plots to generate hide and meat over time. Hunt deer at Hunter’s Camps for the same resources. Meat supplies food, and hides are used for leather clothing and shoes. Goat Sheds cost 25 regional wealth and require an extension slot in a Burgage Plot.

Chickens

Chickens are a Burgage Plot extension that passively produces eggs as a food source. Purchase chickens for 25 regional wealth, and they will supply eggs to food market stalls.

Sheep

Sheep and Lambs produce wool for yarn and cloaks. Sheep are kept in pastures. With the fertilization technology, sheep can graze on fallow fields, increasing fertilization recovery. Workers at Sheep Farms manage pastures and shear wool. Wool is processed into yarn at a Weaver's Workshop and then into cloaks at a Tailor's. Sheep breeding technology allows sheep to reproduce. Buy lambs and sheep at the Livestock Trading Post for 10 and 20 regional wealth, respectively. These can also be sold for profit along with spare wool or yarn.
