Level 4 Boss

Master the Level 4 Boss mission in Mario Kart Double Dash! Learn the best strategy to collect 50 coins and avoid King Boo's attacks to get a 3-star ranking.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• King Boo: Steals 10 coins on attack, temporarily making other coins disappear.
• Arena: Circular platforms with coin lines. Central lava pit for resetting.

Phases:

1. Collect coins on the first ring, then jump into the lava.
2. Collect coins on the second ring, grab bonus coins, then jump into the lava.
3. Collect coins on the third ring, grab bonus coins, then collect the final ring's coins counter-clockwise.

Strategy:

• Start with a turbo boost and head straight for the first ring of coins.
• Power slide clockwise to collect all coins on the first ring.
• As King Boo prepares to charge, jump into the lava in the center. This costs you one balloon but resets King Boo and puts you in the right spot.
• When you land, try to get a boost and immediately turn right.
• Continue collecting coins on the next ring by power sliding clockwise. Keep going around the ring even after all coins are collected to grab the line of 3 bonus coins moving away from it.
• Hop into the lava in the center of the next ring to reset King Boo again and reposition.
• Boost and accelerate upon landing, turning right.
• Collect coins on this ring by power sliding clockwise, and then grab the 3 bonus coins.
• For the final ring, collect the coins by power sliding in a COUNTER-CLOCKWISE direction.
• If you're fast enough, King Boo shouldn't hit you, and you'll secure the 3-star ranking with about 4:15 left on the clock.
• If King Boo steals your coins: Chase him down, bump into him, and then drive through him from the front to get your coins back.
