Alright, so you've just finished a race in Mario Kart DS! Let's break down what all those numbers mean and what happens next. It's pretty straightforward once you see it a couple of times.

After each race, everyone gets points based on where they finished. The exact amount depends on how many people were in the race:

• 4-person match: 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd gets 7, 3rd gets 4, and 4th gets 1.
• 3-person match: 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd gets 7, and 3rd gets 4.
• 2-person match: 1st place gets 10 points, and 2nd gets 5.

After points are awarded, you'll get to pick the next course, just like at the start of the set. This keeps going for a total of 4 tracks.

Once all 4 races are done, your total points are tallied up. This is where your wins and losses are decided. Basically, for every person you finished ahead of, you get a 'win'. So, if you came in first in a 4-person race, you get 3 wins! On the flip side, for every person who finished ahead of you, you get a 'loss'. If you came in last in that same 4-person race, you'd get 3 losses.

Heads up: Ties don't count for or against you, so no need to worry about those. Also, if you happen to disconnect during a race, the game automatically gives you a loss for every other person in the match. So, if you were in a 4-person race and disconnected, that's 3 losses right there. Make sure your connection is stable!

After the results are all tallied, you'll see two options: 'Continue' or 'Quit'.

• Continue: If you choose this, you'll start up another set of 4 races with the same group of people who also chose to continue. It's a good way to keep the competition going if you're having fun!
• Quit: If you're done for the day or just don't want to race with the current group anymore, hit Quit. This will take you out of the online lobby or end the current session.
