Alright, so you've made it to the final boss stage in Missions mode, and it's time to face Wiggler! This guy is HUGE and just barrels through all the other racers, plus he's way faster than you. This isn't just a quick sprint either; it's a full 3-lap race, so get ready!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Wiggler: Huge, fast, plows through traffic. Gets even faster and red after lap 3, using shortcuts.
• Item Boxes: Only contain Stars.
• Trucks: Hitting these while powered by a Star gives you a Mushroom. An item box is visible inside the truck.

Phases:

1. Lap 1-3: Wiggler is fast, but manageable.
2. After Lap 3: Wiggler turns red, becomes significantly faster, and starts using shortcuts (like over the hill after the first tunnel).

Strategy:

• Start with a turbo boost right at the beginning.
• Grab the first Star you see. Remember, you should be aiming to grab every item box on the track.
• Use that Star to ram one of the small trucks driving around. This will net you a Mushroom! Keep an eye on your touch screen; you'll see the item box inside the truck.
• Grab the next item box you find.
• Repeat this process: use a Star, hit a truck for a Mushroom, grab the next item box.
• If you follow this plan, you should build up a solid lead and have no trouble finishing ahead of Wiggler.
• Warning: Don't try to use a Star to directly hit Wiggler; it won't work.
• If you find yourself falling behind, be aware that Wiggler gets even faster after lap 3 and might start taking shortcuts. The strategy above should give you enough of a lead that you won't need to worry about those shortcuts, especially the one over the hill after the first tunnel.
