Beanbean Castle Town (8)

After the opening cutscene where Peach's voice is stolen, you gain control of Toad in Mario's house. Follow the prompts to learn basic movement.

After a brief interaction with Mario, head to the castle.

Upon arrival, Luigi accidentally initiates a battle with Bowser. This is a tutorial fight; use the Jump action three times to defeat him.

After the fight, a Toad explains the situation and sends you to the Beanbean Kingdom.

In the Castle Plaza, collect the available items: three Mushrooms from blocks, another Mushroom from an east ledge, a Super Mushroom from a Toad, and a 1-Up Mushroom from a Green Toad who lost his belongings.

Talk to the Toad by the fountain to learn about Action Commands.

Proceed to the next area and use the Save Album.

Before moving on, Toadsworth gives you a suitcase and 100 coins.

In the final area of the Plaza, Mario boards the Koopa Cruiser, and Luigi is forced to join him.

On the Koopa Cruiser, collect eight Coins from a Bros Block and two Mushrooms from blocks in the third area.

You'll encounter Goombas. Defeat them for experience and items.

A Koopa Troopa will stop you for passport photos.

Another Koopa Troopa offers a tutorial on fighting as a pair. Break boxes to reveal more Goombas.

You'll be asked to help defeat two Goombas disrupting immigration, which also serves as a tutorial.
