Trouble at Mushroom Kingdom: A cutscene reveals Peach's voice has been stolen by Cackletta. You gain control of Toad, who alerts Mario. Mario and Luigi then head to the castle.

Board the Koopa Cruiser: Upon arriving at the castle, Luigi accidentally initiates a battle with Bowser. After defeating him (using the Jump action 3 times), a Toad explains the situation and tasks the Bros with retrieving Peach's voice from the Beanbean Kingdom. You are then sent to the plaza.

Castle Plaza: Explore the plaza to collect three Mushrooms from blocks and one from an east ledge. A Toad gives you a Super Mushroom. A Green Toad asks you to find his missing items, rewarding you with a 1-Up Mushroom. Talk to the Toad by the fountain for action command information. Find the Save Album. Toadsworth appears, giving you a suitcase and 100 coins. Proceed to the final area of the Plaza, where Mario boards the Koopa Cruiser, followed by Luigi.

On the Koopa Cruiser: Collect 8 Coins from a Bros Block and 2 Mushrooms from blocks in different areas. You'll encounter Goombas. A Koopa Troopa will stop you for passport photos. After hitting blocks, another Koopa Troopa offers a tutorial on fighting as a pair. You can fight Goombas revealed by breaking boxes for experience and items. A Koopa Troopa asks for help defeating two Goombas to aid his immigration process, and will teach you how to initiate attacks.
