Understanding these abilities is crucial for navigating the game world and overcoming obstacles. You can view a character's abilities by pausing the game and flipping their Character Card.

• Acrobat: Allows characters to grab poles for higher jumps and wall-jump using closely placed walls. Primarily uses the A Button. Examples: Gamora, Captain America, White Tiger.
• Chi: Users can perform a kata to charge and release a beam of yellow light, which can activate Chi Dragons (red statues) to alter the environment. Examples: Iron Fist, Steel Serpent.
• Cut: Enables characters to cut through green vines blocking paths using sharp weapons like swords, knives, or claws. Activated by pressing X in front of the vines. Examples: Gamora, Black Panther, White Tiger.
• Deflect: Creates a defensive field (tap B) that reflects projectiles. Characters with Shield abilities have this, as do some with energy fields. Can also be used on Deflect Pads to redirect lasers. Examples: Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Captain America.
• Dig: Allows characters to dig through piles of brown LEGOs with question marks using claws. Hold down B near the pile. Examples: Rocket Raccoon, White Tiger, Black Panther.
• Electricity: Characters can use electricity, usually by holding B, to attack or charge generators. Some may need to charge up first. Examples: Rocket Raccoon, Thor, Crystal.
• Explosives: Characters can break silver LEGO objects using grenades or rockets. Tap B to fire/toss, or hold X to target silver objects. Examples: Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man.
• Flight: Characters can double jump to fly and navigate using the Right Analog Stick for vertical movement and Left Analog Stick for horizontal. Double tap B to disengage flight. In Chronopolis, double-tapping A while flying provides a speed boost. Examples: Star-Lord, Iron Man, Thor.
• Giant: Larger characters who possess Strength and Smash abilities. Cannot switch to them in cramped areas, build LEGOs, or operate some mechanisms. Examples: Groot, Hulk.
• Glide: Allows characters to glide a short distance after jumping. Press and hold A in the air. Examples: Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man 2099, Medusa.
• Gravity: Primarily used by Star-Lord, who can toss Gravity Mines (tap B). These damage enemies and can interact with Gravity Boosters to manipulate gravity, revealing new paths or objects. Examples: Star-Lord.
• Heat Beam: Used to destroy gold LEGO objects and walls. Hold B to fire. Can trace lines around golden walls to cut shapes. Effective against enemies. Examples: Iron Man, Captain Marvel.
• Ice: Characters can cast icy clouds to extinguish fires or freeze objects/enemies.
