Guide to Mass Effect 2's Project Firewalker: Recover Research Data mission. Find the research station, collect valuable iridium, and escape the base.
Walkthrough
- 1Head to the Caleston Rift, Yakawa system. Your first objective is to reach the Research Station. The path is pretty linear, but there are 8 iridium deposits along the way if you want to mine them. There are also two optional iridium deposits that yield 250 iridium each, but they're a bit out of the way.
- 2Once you reach the Research Base, you'll exit the Hammerhead to investigate on foot. Inside, you'll find a wall safe in the northwest section of the base. There's also a locker in the room with the sensor. Don't forget to grab the iridium located behind the bypass door – those scientists clearly weren't paid enough!
- 3Activate the Sensor. This will trigger an event, and you'll need to escape the base. Don't worry, there's no time limit for this part.
- 4After escaping the base, hop back into your Hammerhead. You'll need to navigate through a few tunnels. Again, there's no timer, and the only real challenge is the shaking screen – no enemies or surprises here. Just focus on jumping your way to safety. You'll find another iridium deposit on your way out.
Tips
- Keep an eye out for the 8 iridium deposits along the main path to the research station.
- The wall safe contains 250 credits, and the locker has 125 credits.
- The iridium behind the bypass door is worth 1500.
- Don't rush the escape from the base; there's no penalty for taking your time.
