Guide Mordin's assistant, Daniel, and activate the fans in Mass Effect 2's Environmental Control Center. Learn enemy tactics and item locations.
Alright, let's get this done. We're heading into the Environmental Control Center, and it's going to be a bit of a scrap. You'll be facing off against Blood Pack Troopers, Warriors, Pyros, Boom-Squads, and Vorcha Heavies, all of them armored up. Keep an eye out for cover; there's plenty of it, which is good news for us.
First up, as you push through the hallway, opening the door to the south will reveal Mordin's assistant, Daniel. This is a crucial moment: you can save him if you have around 100 points in Persuasion. If your persuasion isn't high enough, unfortunately, the Batarians will shoot him. Make sure you've got those points ready!
Next, you'll head into the control center itself. Clear out the Blood Pack enemies in there. Your main objective is to inject the cure, so make your way to that. After injecting the cure, things get hairy. Watch out for the Boom-Squad on the upper level – they'll be launching missiles at you. Troopers will also be coming at you from the sides, so keep your head on a swivel.
Once you start initializing the West Fan Array, expect more Blood Pack to show up. Things get even tougher as several Vorcha Heavies will be firing missiles from the upper level, while Pyros and Krogan advance on the lower levels. Don't forget, your Overload ability is super effective against both Vorcha Heavies and Pyros – it'll make them explode!
After you initialize the East Fan Array, you'll automatically return to Mordin. If you've already grabbed everything from the clinic, you're free to head out. Back on the Normandy, chat with your squadmates about upgrades. Some will offer personal upgrades, while others will help out the ship. Since minerals are pretty easy to come by, I'd suggest prioritizing ship upgrades, starting with Miranda's Normandy upgrade to speed up future scans. It'll make your life a lot easier.
