Guide to navigating the Collector Station's biotic bubble in Mass Effect 2. Learn who to choose as your Barrier Specialist, Fire Team Leader, and Escort to survive.
Walkthrough
- 1After selecting your team, approach the next area and tell the Barrier specialist you are ready. The specialist will stop and take cover when enemies approach, waiting for your signal to proceed after each wave.
- 2The specialist will stop when four Drones/Harbinger attack. Stay within the bubble and fight them at range. Inform the specialist when you are ready to proceed.
- 3During the walk, four Husks and Abominations will attack from the north ledge ahead. Shortly after, the specialist will stop again, and you will encounter three more Drones/Harbinger from the northeast. Notify the specialist when ready. Pick up the heatsinks from the previous drones.
- 4You will move a short distance further, encountering Husks/Abominations and a Scion. Stay mobile and prioritize clearing the Husks before the Scion reaches melee range. Use heavy weapons if necessary, as the Scion's melee attack is deadly and the area is confined.
- 5After defeating these enemies, this is the final manual save point if you wish to save.
- 6The specialist will then admit they are tiring. Two Husks will climb the ledge to the northwest.
- 7As the specialist runs towards the final destination, one Abomination and one Husk will climb from the east/northeast into the bubble. You can melee these enemies. Ensure you stay within the bubble as the pace increases.
- 8After passing this area, you will be prompted to select your final team.
Tips
- Barrier Specialist: Jack, Samara, or Morinth are the only viable options.
- Fire Team Leader 2: Jacob, Miranda, or Garrus can fill this role.
- Escort: Almost any loyal teammate can serve as an escort. The chosen escort cannot be used for the final battle.
- Enemy Prioritization: When facing Husks, Abominations, and a Scion, focus on the Husks first to prevent them from reaching melee range, then deal with the Scion.
- Conserve Heavy Ammo: Use heavy weapons strategically against the Scion if needed, as the confined space makes evasion difficult.
