Alright, so we're up to OPS #18, the Cocoon Battle. Just like with Pupa and Chrysalis before it, listen closely to what Huey tells you about its weak points – it'll make this fight way easier.

Walkthrough

First things first, you need to destroy Cocoon's two radiators. You'll find them right in the middle of its underside. Equip your M60 and just unload on them until they're gone. It shouldn't take too long.

Keep an eye out for steam coming from the radiators – that's how you know they're active. While you're down there, be aware that Cocoon has a machine gun that fires at anything moving below it. Stay sharp!

When Cocoon readies its gatling gun, which fires downwards, get out from under it. As soon as the gatling gun retracts, quickly switch to your RPG2 and unload as many shots as you can into the AI Pod.

When you see the message _**“Preparing for area attack”**_, immediately get back under Cocoon and wait for the missiles to finish their barrage. Once the gatling gun lowers again, pop out and repeat the process of shooting the AI Pod with your RPG2.

If you run out of missiles, your M60 can still do decent damage to the AI Pod.

When Cocoon announces _**“Preparing for sweep attack”**_, get clear of it or position yourself underneath to avoid the blast.

After you've dealt with the radiators, don't linger under Cocoon for too long, as it can lower itself and deal massive damage.

Once Cocoon has about two bars of health left, it'll have a 'thermostat issue' and ram itself into a wall. You'll see a ladder appear on its upper side.

Climb up this ladder. You'll be on the front of Cocoon. Now, make your way to the back of it. Be quick, though, because the gatling guns can rack up some serious damage.

Once you reach the back, climb up the small ledge towards the center of Cocoon. From here, move forward to find another ladder.

Climb this ladder to reach the top. You'll see two gatling guns up here. Your objective is the AI Pod. Quickly approach it and use your M60 to blast away at the AI Pod, while simultaneously dodging the missiles.

Whenever you're targeted by missiles, quickly move to a different side of the upper platform to completely avoid them. Keep firing at the AI Pod until you need to open the hatch. Keep shooting until it opens.

Once inside, remove the boards as you see fit, and the mission will conclude.

Tips

Listen to Huey's advice about Cocoon's weaknesses – it's crucial for this fight.
The M60 is your go-to for destroying the radiators and dealing damage to the gatling guns and AI Pod when you're out of RPG2 ammo.
Use the environment under Cocoon for cover during its area attacks, but don't stay there too long.
Speed is key when navigating the upper parts of Cocoon to avoid the gatling guns.
