How to Get Dew: Plants

Hey there, Builder! Need some Dew for your machines? It's a pretty common resource you'll be grabbing a lot of, especially early on. You'll need 10 Dew to craft a single Water Barrel at your worktable, and those barrels don't last forever if you've got a bunch of machines running. Don't worry though, there are a few ways to get your hands on it!

The most straightforward way to get Dew is by chopping at bushes and small cacti. Just be careful not to go after the really big cacti – they're not the source for Dew! You can also find Dew by simply collecting plants scattered around the area near your workshop.

Once you've gathered at least 10 Dew, you can head over to your worktable to craft a Water Barrel. It's a good way to conserve the town's water supply, so it's definitely worth learning!

Now, here's a neat trick for later: if you've completed the side quest, How to Tune Your Banjo, and adopted a pet, they can help you out! You can send them to scavenge for Dew once a day. They'll drop whatever they find into the box next to your mailbox. Just a heads-up, if you're using the Magic Mirror to send them out, they might pick a random task. If you want to make sure they're specifically hunting for Dew, you'll need to dispatch them yourself. The cool part is you can send out multiple pets at once to gather Dew, so the more furry friends you have, the more Dew you can get!
