How to Make a Pickhammer

Alright, let's get you set up with your first real tool! The Pickhammer is super important for gathering better materials in My Time at Sandrock. Don't worry, it's pretty straightforward to make.

Materials Required to Make a Pickhammer

So, the recipe is simple: x4 Stone and x2 Wood. If you don't have any tools yet, you'll be doing a lot of digging through scrap piles with your bare hands to get started.

How to Find Stone

Right outside your workshop, you'll see a junk pile. Give that a good dig! You'll find stone in there, along with other bits like dregs and dinas. Just interact with the pile and start shoveling!

How to Find Wood

Wood is found in wood piles or by chopping at wood scraps. You'll need an axe for this, and thankfully, there's one half-buried in your yard that you can pick up. Once you have the axe, look for wooden scraps that have an axe symbol over them. You can also chop down bushes for wood, but seriously, don't chop down trees. The town will not be happy, and you'll get fined!

Pro-Tip: Grab that axe first, then go find those wooden scraps!

Once you've gathered all your stone and wood, head back to your yard and use your Worktable to craft the Pickhammer.

How to Use a Pickhammer

With your shiny new Pickhammer, you can now dig through bigger scrap piles. Just equip it to your hotbar and get to it! Keep in mind, the basic stone Pickhammer won't be able to break everything, and you'll eventually want to upgrade to bronze tools.
