For the Pirate Captain, you should aim for full Iron tier equipment and improved consumables. The fight takes place on a ship, so consider the limited space.

• Armor: Full Iron Armor set (crafted at an Anvil with Iron Bars).
• Weapon: Iron Sword or Iron Bow with Iron Arrows. Consider crafting a Musket if you've found Gunpowder and Iron Bars, as it offers high damage.
• Accessories: Any accessories that boost damage, defense, or movement speed. The 'Swiftness Ring' (crafted with Gold Bars and Feathers) is excellent for dodging.
• Consumables: Regular Healing Potions (crafted with Bottled Water, Gel, and Iron Bars), and potentially some Mana Potions if you're using magic weapons. Cooked food is still essential.
• Arena: The Pirate Ship itself is your arena. Clear any unnecessary decorations or barrels to maximize movement space. Placing a few Campfires on the ship can provide passive healing.

Gathering Iron Ore from deeper caves or the Desert biome and smelting it into Iron Bars will be your main objective before this fight. You'll also need to explore the Ocean to find a Pirate Ship.
